Great Camera But?
I recently purchased a COOLPIX S800c and found it to do everything it claimed it could do and rather well at that. My only problem and a warning to all who purchase this camera is that the battery has a very short life and takes hours to fully charge. I learned this the hard way. This camera was purchased to replace my old but reliable 7.1 pix camera, because I was going on a once in a lifetime vacation over seas. I wish I could share some pics with you but all I have are memories since after turning hot the battery went dead a quarter into my day. I tried to keep the camera turned off as much as possible to save the battery, but I missed many of my best shots cause it takes a half minute or more for the camera to boot up. I would even been happy to purchase a spare battery, well good luck with that. PS: If you choose to purchase this camera beware as I found out I paid over $450.00USD in Vietnam when I could of bought it as cheep as 249.99 in the US.
