Canon Digital PowerShot A50 1280x960 8MBStrengths: Easy to use. Great pictures. For the price you can't get a better camera. Weakness: Download through serial interface is slooowww. But I got a CF reader for my computer, FAST! CF cards aren't cheap. If you travel a lot you need to have multiple CF memory or a laptop so you can store your pictures. IBM has a 1GB hard drive that goes into a CF Type II slot, but I can't find out yet if it will work in the A50. Nice part is you don't have to get the film developed. If you want some nice pictures printed up you can buy a good photo printer or upload your pics to someplace like Shutterfly.com. They do great work and have a lot of fun things you can do with your photos, including storing them there and sharing them online with your friends and family. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Canon Digital PowerShot A50 1280x960 8MB
Strengths: Excellent compact durable body (nice color too). Easy to carry around. Excellent LCD screen, very bright picture compare to other cameras. Nice pictures at 1028x768 res.
Weakness: LCD can easily be scratched. Avg. battery consumption.
Excellent camera. Even in today's 4/5 Megapixel cameras this one is very good entry level camera.
Photo stich creates excellent panaromic views.
Love the style/color and compactness of the camera.
I bought extra battery and CF card and normally take several hundred pictures per trip.
I also bought the CF/PCMCIA adapter which makes a breeze to
move pictures to my laptop.
Ofcourse I would love to get higher resolution otherwise I like everything about this camera.
