nice cameraa

Strengths: great pictures and everything

Weakness: kills batteries when you use the lcd screen, big and bulky, no internal memory

i love this camera with all my heart because it was my first camera ever, but it is so big and annoying to carry, it weighs down what you are carrying, and rechargable batteries are a must or you are paying for batteries up the butt.

Kodak DC215 Silver (1174X884, 2X, 4MB)

Strengths: Excellent colors and very good image clarity in the price range.

Weakness: LCD screen eats batteries faster than you can cry about them.

I purchased a clearance sale millenium edition (gold) of the DC215 that had obvious signs of previous use. A couple of the rubber pads were missing and there were substantial fingerprint marks on the LCD and lens. err... I digress. The camera has perfomed flawlessly. This has been my first digital camera and I have been very pleased with everything about it, except for battery consumption. I have a 32M CompactFlash card and I can usually make it through a single use of the card before I have to swap out four new AA batteries. So, batteries are a nuisance, but the camrea has been durable, portable, and takes great pictures. It comes with a serial cable, but do yourself a massive favor and get a USB CompactFlash card reader. You don't want to wait on a serial transfer.
