Sanyo HD1 high definition video camera

Strengths: high definition (1280x720), simultaneous video and photo capturing, small size

Weakness: Low light performance

This camcorder is the first one released in market that uses flash memory and record in high definition. The video quality is satisfactory, though not comparable with a full size HD miniDV camcorder. Size is very portable and the best thing is that it takes good pictures (5MP) and it can capture video and photo simultaneously. So no need to bring a camera and a camcorder on a trip any more. As pointed by many other users, the low light performance is not very good. But this drawback has been improved in its following model (VPC-HD2).
