Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC50 Compact Camera - SilverStrengths: lens quality, optical zoom, macro setting, replaceable AA batteries, standard SD card storage Weakness: Included software is weak, menu-driven customization controls are awkward. Normal usage does not require these. The image quality is great--much better than a point and shoot 35mm camera or fixed lens digicam. Pictures look great displayed on the desktop and printed at the photo store. Enlargements to 8x10 are very clear. 95% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Panasonic LC 50
Strengths: AA batteries, and battery life. Lens, clarity.
Weakness: software, zoom.
I found the pictures to be amazing clarity for a three mega-pixel camera. Great Licia lens. I found that this camera outperformed a lot of other pocket point-and-shoot cameras.
I thought the software provided no benefit. I also thought the zoom could be a little faster. However, I am used to my Canon S2's quick zoom.
