I purchased the re-badged Gateway TC-50 model, exactly the same as the Vivtar V 3930. I have since grown disenchanted with Gateway, largely inpart to the only problem I have had with the camera kit - the power adapter has easily broken prongs, and GAteway would not replace it while the camera was under warranty. Not good for them, but buy the Vivitar model if you want a really good, hi-res camera that will fit in your pocket. My picture quality is generally first-rate, and I have taken to slipping the Camera into my pocket and having it handy when the opportunity arises for a great shot. The only other beef I have is the seemingly short battery life - the camera comes with a proprietary battery that cannot be charged independently of the camera, so one must make an concerted effort to keep the backup battery (which everyone should have) fully charged in an emergency. Anyway, whan electronic device has all the battery life we really want?

Ultimately, the reason to own a camera is to produce excellent pictures. The Vivitar V 3930 can do that quite well.
