Strengths: Ease of use. Nice bright display. Decent through the lens viewing(digital), ok in dim lighting. Metal body. Uses AA size rechargable batts (much cheaper than specialized BRAND batts)

Weakness: Somewhat awkward to hold at first, but you get used to it. Somed redeye in pics, but does not really take away from pic quality (can be fixed with software).Eats batteries.

This camera has very few drawbacks. The design is a bit awkward to hold at first but you will get used to it. Just make sure you wear the wrist strap(you'll see why!) As far as picture quality, except for the redeye, picture quality is superb. Indoors and out. Would recommend this to any beginner to intermediate photographer. Great addition to my 35mm.

Strengths: sharp images, easy to use, fits in pocket

Weakness: eats the batteries. keep extras charged

this little camera changed my picture taking life! It's size first of all is amazing for all it can do. The resoultion is very good . I have not used my slr since this purchase and I have taken many outdoor activities pics that I would have never gotten with a larger format camera. Great ski camera!!! I recently upgraded to a higher pixel camera and I have a waiting list of friends who would buy my finepix 4700. I don't want to sell it!

Strengths: fits in your pocket...flash capabilities...digital and optical zoom

Weakness: pictures can be a little blurry...price is a bit high...battery life

After a ton of research, I gave in and finally bought this bad boy camera. It's got so many features that I just stick to the basics. Because it is so small, you can bring it just about anywhere which is nice. The biggest complaint I have is that alkaline batteries are almost unusable in this camera. It comes with 2 sets of lithium ion batteries so make sure you keep them charged. Battery life isn't all that great. Overall, it's an excellent camera for rookies and pros.

Strengths: Small and metal case make it feels good when holded. Good as a starter camera, fit in the pockets.

Weakness: Cannot add any len with it? If this unit will has problem, would be the retrackable len stop working properly.

Over all, it work good so far, very easy to fit in my pocket for travel. Very easy to control the menus. The design meke it the good looking camera though the newer versions come out, this one is still look good for me.
