Kodak EasyShare LS753 5.4 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: Ease of use, compact size, GREAT pictures, good battery life.

Weakness: None that we have found.

This is our first digital camera and although it was more than we wanted to spend (we got a printer dock, too) we are REALLY GLAD we chose the Kodak LS 753. We feel confident we made the perfect decision for our family. We use the camera for family pictures and when we travel. We got an extra memory card (512) and we can take all the pictures we want with no memory or battery problems. The pictures are FABULOUS - we are printing them out on the Kodak Printer Dock Plus which we bought at the same time. We are not real computer literate but we had no trouble at all setting up the software and downloading, editing, and printing pictures from our computer. This is a GREAT PRODUCT!

Kodak EasyShare LS753 5.4 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: Price: You can get this for under $180.00 if you find the right merchant. Ease of Use: The controls and software are intuitive and user friendly.

Weakness: None, so far

After shopping around for a digital camera, I found this gem at a very reasonable price. The battery life is great, and the camera is loaded with all the features of the most expensive 5 mp cameras. It has a great lens and the photos come out excellent. At such a great price, I was able to shell out for a 1 GB card which will hold almost 700 photos at the highest resolution possible. Lastly, the camera fits easily in my pockets and it's sturdy metal construction feels great in my hands. You won't be disappointed if you purchase this camera.

Kodak EasyShare LS753 5.4 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: Stylish, lightweight, great pictures, ease of use, great battery life

Weakness: Does not keep camera settings when turned off

One of the best compact digital cameras out there. It takes great pictures, with precise color saturation and sharpness. It only has 2.8x optical zoom, which is considered insufficient by today standards. It is small and light enough (weighing at just under 6 oz. without battery) to easily fit in your pocket. It has a button on top of the camera to quickly change flash settings. It also has rotary dial to switch between camera modes. The battery life is great. All in all, I highly recommend this camera.

Excellent Camera for the everyday photo nut

Strengths: Many options available in the menu. Several different picture types and sizes. Many options for taking pictures near and far. Good video quality in Qmov format. Great battery life.

Weakness: Nothing that I have found up to this point.

I like this camera. I am by no means a professional photographer, but I like to take quality digital pictures for the scrap books, etc. Inside, outside, day or night I have not found a place I couldn't take a decent photo of whatever I wanted. I have night time photos of lightening at 16 second exposures and they turned out great! Some videos of my pets acting zany turned out great! Use the camera a lot and for just about any type of picture you can image. Takes wonderful black and white photos as well.

Kodak EasyShare LS753 5.4 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: 5 MP, picture is very sharp

Weakness: Look a little long, only 2.8 optical zone

This is a good camera for point and shoot. The shape of the camera is long and narrow, which could be good or bad depend on your preference. The LCD is decent and the camera is at a good price.

Kodak EasyShare LS753 5.4 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: Easy to use. Affordable. Quality product.

Weakness: Small buttons. 32 MB.

Great camera! Nice pictures, easy to use, and small enough to carry anywhere. Have used several brands of digital cameras, the Kodak LS753 is my favorite so far.

Kodak EasyShare LS753 5.4 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: This camera is very easy to use, even right out of the box. It has a lot of features that allow good quality picture taking in a wide variety of settings. 32 Mb built-in memory is handy.

Weakness: EasyShare software that is included is very basic. It is straight-forward to use, but could be a little more user friendly and have a few more features.

This camera has been a great buy. The picture quality is excellent in a variety of settings. In the first weekend I had the camera, I was taking pictures at a wedding in a very dark church. The automatic settings did not handle the environment, but I was able to manually adjust quickly and produce some high quality shots. The automatic settings have been helpful for other situations though - I've used the "beach", "party", and "backlight" settings with good success. The full auto mode has also been fine in most situations.

The camera is small and lightweight. It fits nicely in a pocket or purse. It takes quality pictures and the price is reasonable. I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a compact, easy to use, point-and-shoot camera.

Kodak EasyShare LS753 5.4 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: fits in your pocket, excellent image quality, good color, good battery life, ease of use, flash doesn't make people blink :)

Weakness: more optical zoom would be better (isn't it always??)

This is a terrific camera. I bought this camera because I wanted one that had good picture quality and would fit in my pocket. I had a Nikon 4300 previously which performed well but was too large to fit in a pocket. I am very happy with the picture quality of the Kodak and the battery life is also very good. Last night I took pictures of the lunar eclipse on nightshot mode with a slow shutter speed and the pictures are absolutely amazing.

Another thing about the Nikon was the flash. The flash went off twice before the picture was taken, making people blink. The Kodak makes one simple flash and my pictures have been turning out much better. I thought the movie mode on the Kodak was just a gimmick, but I am actually having quite a bit of fun with it!

All-in-all, I think that this camera is a terrific value.

Kodak EasyShare LS753 5.4 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: great pictures!! battery life is good. very easy to operate.

Weakness: the buttons are small, but that is the only way they will fit on the camera because it is so small.

I bought this camera right before I went on a cruise. It was easy to use right out of the box. I would recommend this camera to anyone. You can also put cool sounds on it so it makes a sound when you take the picture or when you turn the camera on. I have fallen in love with this camera. It is so small also, so it is very easy to carry around with me. The video is good, pictures are good, and everything about it is good, except for one thing, and that is the "OK" button is soooo small. You may not think that matters, but it does. When I scroll through the pictures, I have trouble keeping it scrolling because the button is small. Other than that, it is a great camera. I would recommend this camera to anybody. It is WONDERFUL!!

Kodak EasyShare LS753 5.4 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: Small form factor, pretty long battery life, good color balance, intuitive interface

Weakness: Strong lossy JPEG compression on photos (no raw image format), not much zoom, meager autofocus

This is an excellent toy and, I've found, a good first digital camera.

Although it takes very high-resolution pictures (1920x2560 at most), it saves them as well-compressed JPEGs. Many pictures I took wound up being smaller than 500k, and only a handful (full of diversely colored objects) came up to 1.5mb. There's a lot of lost information, which is unfortunate.

The interface is as easy as advertised. A handful of picture-taking features can be changed: exposure compensation (-2 to 2 eV), white balance (auto, day, or fluorescent), ISO speed (from 80 to 800 in about five increments), exposure metering, and focus zone. The latter two seem arcane but are reasonably well-elaborated in the manual.

The camera offers Burst and Long-Term Exposure modes; neither let you use the flash, and each constrains some of the other settings as well. Burst mode will take up to four photos in about two seconds; this is faster than the normal photo mode, which can take about two seconds between pictures. In the long-term exposure mode, you can choose a one to sixteen second duration and watch bright pictures appear. Aha!
This camera also has a variety of 'scene modes', which amount to preset combinations of the few adjustable features. These modes are occasionally useful. However, turning the camera off and back on resets every picture setting to the default and puts the camera back in Auto mode; this is arguably good for the novice users I think this camera is aimed at, and the Auto mode takes good pictures, so it's nothing more than a minor annoyance.

There's an optical viewfinder and an LCD; the viewfinder doesn't show everything that'll be in the image, so it's only a rough guide and you'll want to use the LCD to take pictures. Even with the LCD on all the time, I've managed to take hundreds of pictures on one battery charge. The battery recharges fairly quickly; the only difficulty is that it's proprietary (though eBay has generic batteries for cheap.) The LCD itself looks nice. My only concern is that the sticky, cheap piece of plastic the LCD came with fell off after mild use, and according to Kodak support there's no LCD cover accessory for this camera. No scratches have appeared yet!

Zoom is unremarkable; though it's occasionally convenient, it's easier just to walk towards your subject with this toy. The focus is automatically set by half-depressing the shutter; fully pressing it then takes the picture. This camera's idea of autofocus is not bad, but it's not wonderful either. I've taken several shots that would have looked wonderful had they only been in focus, and this is especially problematic in low-light situations.

The flash works well in all cases, and red-eye is rarely a serious problem.

The only difficult part about using this camera so far has been holding the bloody thing steady - at least, I hope that's why half the pictures I take look "soft".

This was the best camera I could find in its price range (ended up paying about $166 after tax), and I would buy it again.

Kodak EasyShare LS753 5.4 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: i took pictures this past weekend at a military wedding in texas, originally from california, the design has a unique, almost even shape, love the style quality pictures 5.0mp what can you say!!

Weakness: they should of put more memory, overall the picture perfect for a good price, software needs to be userfriendly but there are other softwares out there that you can upgrade too.. might be recommended

the color of the camera is awesome, nice sleek design, love it's picture quality, pretty good price, haven't had a problem, i use it to take pictures all around the world, being in the military i found this camera very useful, there are other camera's out there that are very good, but i found this camera to be a good size, i don't like the to tiny camera that can't fit in my hands, this has a comfortable grip. I would recommend this to everyone. It is one of the best out there in my opinion.

Kodak EasyShare LS753 Digital Camera Review

With the Kodak EasyShare LS753, the consumer expects the strong shooting elements of its predecessor, the LS743, but with an expanded 1/2.5-inch 5-megapixel CCD. The two cameras are physically similar, with an emphasis on the LS753's low slung silver gray body and slim profile that allows for practical and effortless transportation. The back of the camera features an attractive and amply sized...

Kodak EasyShare LS753

The 5-megapixel LS753 is one of the latest in Kodak's appropriately-named EasyShare line. Trim and sleek with a sturdy metal body, the LS753 is a willing travel companion, with the typically excellent Kodak white balance and rich color rendition. While I wish it had less aggressive noise-reduction processing, I particularly liked its "Favorites" feature that makes the camera into a very portable...
