Olympus C-3000ZStrengths: Like all the other reviews the picture quality is great. I took our company holiday party pics on auto mode and they turned out excellent. Weakness: Yes, the lens cap design is an problem. Also the zoom and auto focus is very noisy which is a problem when in video mode. All the necessities for taking great photos. Some cool extras but the best thing is the manual modes. I took a photo of discolored lights in the night time sky (left from a rocket test) by adjusting the manual settings. It was awesome. I studied a lot of Cameras in this price range and at the time the Minolta Dimage was the only thing comparable. I would definitely recommend this CZ series to anyone. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Olympus C-3000ZStrengths: The pictures are incredible. This camera is so versatile with the kind of pictures it can take. I almost bought a Sony, then changed my mind when I looked into Olympus. Weakness: The zoom power when taking pictures is not great, but you can zoom in to incredible levels with perfect quality after the photos are d/l onto a PC. It is amazing how many features this camera has. I love being able to take black and white photos as well as color. I also purchased a 128 mb smart media card and I can take about 170 pictures on this card in the 'medium' quality setting. This 'medium quality' setting, I think, is as good of quality as an actual photograph when printed with a photo quality printer. It comes with cables to connect the camera to your TV to view pictures; I amaze people with the different features. Everyone I have shown pictures to on the TV has asked: "What kind of camera is that??!!??" 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Olympus C-3000ZStrengths: Excellent picture and easy to use Weakness: Lens cap is easy to lose I researched for months before buying this camera. It has excellent picture quality, is easy to use and (despite what other reviews say) it takes very good low light pictures. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Olympus C-3000ZStrengths: easy to use Weakness: low-light pictures, flashes look strange A good camera that will give you all the resolution you need for all but the highest-end web applications. Not suitable for low-light photography, but a good choice for usable image quality at a low price. The on-screen menus are easy to use and the LCD is bright. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Olympus C-3000Z
Strengths: Superb quality of pictures. Lightweight and great for travel purposes. For the nonprofessional photographer it's the best on the market for the price!
Weakness: Although the lens cap could be easy to lose, an inexpensive cap attachment will solve the problem immediately. These are available in any camera shop.
As a retired photojournalist who travels extensively, I never take another camera on my trips anymore. Canada; Colorado; Alaska; Hilton Head; Smoky Mountains; etc. The downloaded pictures taken with this camera are just like re-visiting my favorite places all over again.
