Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F505V 2.6 Megapixel Compact...Strengths: great resolution, awesome for outside shots, extremely user-friendly, has a great deal of extras for different camera shots Weakness: no view finder ( but a little practice makes perfect), there is a slight delay after pressing the shutter button i wasnt able to afford the big brother version (dsc 707) but i am extremely happy with this purchase. i currently am using this camera for my career and having no problem making money with all the great features and capabilities (this is my first camera ever). Not having a view finder takes a little getting used to, but theres never anything wrong with change 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F505V 2.6 Megapixel Compact...Strengths: The camera seems to work good outside in bright light. Weakness: the pictures taken indoors are very poor I've gotten better pictures from my old 110mm camera I recieved the sony f-505v a couple of months ago and have taken alot of pictures most of which were out side. When I started taking pictures indoors I noticed right away that all the pictures were blurry. I called sony and they told me I would have to pay to send the camera to indiana to get fixed and that after 90 days the warrenty is expired. That seems a bit short for such an expensive purchase, And you can be garranteed that I will never buy another sony product! 100% of readers found this review helpful. Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F505V 2.6 Megapixel Compact...Strengths: Agreeably this camera does take some great photos. When it works. Nice zoom and fairly easy to work with. Weakness: Company warranty and ability to get camera repaired. I bought the camera at Circut city and after about 1/2 a dozen uses found that the LCD would not display. Also the battery had died and when I went into Circut city they Were unwilling to locate a battery to help test the camera. Consequently the warranty ran out(90) days for a camera that cost almost a $1000.00. In the end I had to spent 30.00 for diagnostics at a local camera shop only to find that it must be sent back Sony (at my expense) for another Diagnostic cost of 60.00 and repair cost of appx. 300.00. For that cost I will buy a new camera with a year's warranty. I have bought many Sony products in the past but will not do so in the future until they stand behind thier products. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F505V 2.6 Megapixel Compact...Strengths: Great LCD and swivel lens. Weakness: Availability for repair Sony does not do well in backing up their products or making it easy to get a repair done. Only a 90 day warranty on a $1000 piece of equipment. Local repair shop unable to get affordable repair parts. Will not buy a Sony Camera again! 67% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F505V 2.6 Megapixel Compact...
Strengths: every option, good balance, easy to use, hi-res images, nice LCD, sharp lense
Weakness: would prefer more buttons compared to menus for advanced photography options (i.e. f-stop)
Having this camera alone has led friends and relatives to purchase the same one. If I didn't need the money to buy a $2,000 digital SLR, I'd keep this one for good. The $999 I paid for this camera was worth every cent and built a 50GB digital family photo album for us.
