Kodak DC3200 1.2 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: Cheap

Weakness: No focus, only slow shutter speed, overexposes closups with flash, prone to red eye, zoom is only at lowest resolution and the best is only 1 MP.

I purchased this with a Kodak $70 rebate so my cost was $70 also. For that price I am satisfied. I would not pay much more for this camera. Just ok for snapshots but nothing serious. If you need a camera for a kid or something to take and not worry about this is ok. Prints pretty good pictures up to 4X6. So purchase this if your expectations aren't real high and you don't want to spend too much. Oh yes, add the cost of 4 Nickel Metal Hydride AA batteries and charger (about $20.00). It will save you a lot of money and then you don't worry about taking pictures. With Alkalines you might stop shooting just because of the cost of batteries. You will also have to by Compact Flash Memory. 32 MB gives you about 140 pictures at the best quality.

Kodak DC3200 1.2 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: Cheap Price.

Weakness: Serial connection = Slow as great grandma

I bought this for $50 new when Best Buy and Circuit City were closing them out. The most I got out of my $50 in my life. Very durable and basic, easy to use. Please use rechargable batteries- it sucked the juice from my normal batteries in a matter of days. Sure, there are better cameras out there, but this does a nice job listing pictures on eBay and such. If you want nice prints, purchase a 35MM camera, they still look better than the best digital camera available today.

Kodak DC3200 1.2 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: Overall, this is a great camera for starters. The pictures come out wonderful and LED display is quite large

Weakness: The biggest weakness is uploading the pictures to the computer. It gets to be a pain with all the cords.

I think unchainedwildboy should learn to use a computer because his description isn't true at all. This camera is great and I haven't experienced any of the problems he says.

Kodak DC3200 1.2 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: EASY TO USE, GREAT FOR STARTERS! NICE VIEW SCREEN. STURDY

Weakness: SHORT BATTERY LIFE. IF YOU TAKE PICTURES AT CLOSE RANGE... THE FLASH BRIGHTENS THE WHOLE PICTURE. UPLOAD FROM CAMERA TO COMPUTER IS SLOW...BUY A CARD READER WITH IT AND IT GOES VERY QUICK!

THIS IS A GREAT CAMERA. I HAVE HAD THE BEST TIME WITH IT. I USED IT ALL YEAR AND DEVELOPED A FAMILY WEBSITE WHERE I POSTED PICTURES DAILY. IT WAS EASY TO USE AND I WOULD RECOMMEND BUYING IT. I GOT IT AS A BUNDLE: CAMERA, CABLES, SOFTWARE, PICTURE KODAK PRINTER AND CASE WITH AN 8MB MEMORY CARD FOR $165. IT WAS A SLTEEL AND AN ERROR ON A WEBSITE BUT THEY HONORED THE PRICE. I HAVE GOTTEN MY MONEY OUT OF IT OVER AND OVER. I AM KEEPING IT AS A SPARE CAMERA FOR FAMILY USE BUT DID UPGRADE TO ONE THAT ALSO TAKES MOVIES.

Kodak DC3200 1.2 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: Affordable, easy to use, three different quality of picture settings

Weakness: Close-ups are to bright, can only zoom on one of the three quality of picture settings, shutter speed slow

I'm very happy with my camara, I know there are lots of better quality camaras out there, but they are only avalible to those who have hundreds of dollars to spend. I also got this camara with a rebate so it put it in my price range and after 7 months I just had to change the batteries for the second time. I have had great luck with my camara and that's saying alot cause I don't have anything but bad luck.

Kodak DC3200 1.2 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: Cheap, user-friendly, good features

Weakness: Over exposes close shots- I may try a filter over the flash unit.

Good beginners digital camera. Relatively small and light. Use it like you'd use an old Instamatic. Thinking of buying another one for a family member as a gift.

I strongly recommend buying a couple of Compact Flash cards for it and a USB card reader, as the serial port camera-to-computer link is slow.

Overall, a good buy.

Kodak DC3200 1.2 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: NONE , its ugly , slow as hell , eats batteries and wasted all the shots i took , because i couldnt even download them , the new batteries ran out in the process .

Weakness: EATS BATTERIES LIKE A STARVING DOG EATS FOOD , TOO MANY STEPS INVOLED IN EVERY ACTION ONE TAKES , THIS CAMERA SUCKS AND KODAK SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO SELL IT

Don't waste your money or time on this old , slow and inferior model , the price is good , but it barely works and costs a fortune in batteries , it will eat up a new pair of alkaline batteries during just ONE upload of the pics you take , and im talking like 30 pics , not 100s of pics as some cards will hold . Its CRAP , better off with a disposable 35 millimeter than this piece of JUNK . I'm very Pissed because i wasted 145 for what , it sits in a drawer , basicaly unuseable . HATE IT . Kodak RECALL IT ! ! !
