Nice CameraStrengths: Picture quality; Wide angle lens; Ease of use; Large 2" LCD; Fast reaction. Weakness: Use xD memory card, which is more expensive than the prevailing secure digital card; A little bit bulky; Not rechargeable batteries and charger provided; Performance under low light condition. Overall this is a good entry level digital camera, with very good image quality and resolution, easy to use, excellent wide angle zoom lens, hard to find in its class, large 2" LCD makes shooting and reviewing images easy. You'd better buy a larger xD card, and a set of high-capacity NiMH AA batteries and a good charger, because the 16mb xD card will be full pretty soon, and the alkline batteries won't last too long either. 100% of readers found this review helpful. My first digital cameraStrengths: Love the size,it can fit in my pocket. Very simple/easy to use. The instruction booklet really explains everything. I like that I can erase a picture that I didn't take correctly. Weakness: The flash could power back up a little faster. I've missed some shots waiting on it. Overall, the camera is more than I expected given the fact that this is my first digital camera. It shoots videos as well, but I haven't tried that function yet. My biggest concern with a digital camera was that it would have an abundance of technical functions that my old mind wouldn't be able to get. But, instead it is very simple. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

FinePix E500 Digital cameraStrengths: Clear pictures. Cheap and very easy to use Weakness: XD cards are not popular as the other cards, a little expensive I bought this camera to replace my old camera. This camera is small. And it is very easy to use. The quality of the picture is good. The manual controls are useful and rarely available for a compact camera in this price range. I think FinePix E500 is an inexpensive and cool camera. I really like it. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

FinePix E500 Digital CameraStrengths: Very nice and easy to use. I really like the photo trimming function. Weakness: Not as good a zoom as I would like, but very good for the price. I am very pleased with this camera. It produces great quality pictures and is very easy to use. I would describe it as very user friendly. I would highly reccomend this camera to anyone starting with a digital camera or anyone who wants a great quality digital without spending a fortune. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Fujifilm FinePix E500 4.1 MegapixelStrengths: Light weight and easy to operate. Weakness: None This camera is very affordable and easy to operate. Comparing to more expensive brand this one has an upperhand in term of price. A very good camera for beginner. What I like most about it is it mades in Japan. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? FinePix E500Strengths: great price, small size, huge LCD screen, takes excellent outdoor pictures Weakness: picture is not as crisp when there are low light conditions, only comes with a 16MB xD card. I would recommend this camera to anyone. I got a great deal on it $110, so the price was right. It is very small and compact. The LCD screen is 2 inches, which is very big for a small camera. Comes with a good aray of functions. Would like to have seen a larger memory card with the camera. 128MB would have been great compared to the 16MB one that came with it. Decent Point and ShootStrengths: Low Price for 4MP,light weight Weakness: Poor night shot capability This is a decent point and shoot and seems to be getting discounted quite a bit lately. Don't look for significant manual settings on this camera. There are few image settings available. The flash must be popped up and down when desired, so while other cameras have modes where the flash is automatically activated when needed, this one will simply flash an icon showing that it's recommended (based on the light level and the center of the frame). Fuji FinePix E500
The 4 megapixel, 3.2x zoom Fuji FinePix E500 offers a good assortment of features and generally good color in a compact stylish package, all at an attractive price. It's a very workmanlike digicam, and would make a good choice for many situations where novices and slightly more advanced users have to share a camera between them. While a decent enough camera though, the E500's overly high contrast... Top

Fujifilm FinePix E500 Digital Camera
Strengths: Cheap, easy to use, wide angle lens, light weight and use AA batteries, large LCD
Weakness: xD card is expensive. Picture quality is good but not outstanding
I bought this camera to take pictures during my trip. The camera is overall very easy to use. It would be better if it has a direct key to shut down the LCD instead of to press the same key three times to do the same thing. The picture quality is acceptable but not very outstanding. I like the large LCD and the light weigh. The camera uses 2 AA batteries, which is a very good pro for traveling. I can put 2 batteries in the camera, and take 2 with me and then I can take picture freely without worrying the power.
I will recommend a E510 instead of E500. E510 has a better lens, and hopefully better picture quality.
