Strengths: AA battery, user friendly, accept SDHC
Weaknesses: Auto mode only, no manual setting
Summary: For the camera less than $100, I have to say that HP M447 is outstanding. This camera requires 2 of AA batteries. The brightness of 2.4" LCD can be set at 3 levels. The highest level gives sufficient brightness to use this camera in condition with heavy light.

This camera is user-friendly. It is very suitable for newbie since its menu is not complicated at all. I don't need to read a user manaul before taking pictures. Also, help documents are embedded in camera.

Please note that this camera wasn't designed for professtional. You can't set manaul ISO or manual focus. Everything is automatic. However, you can pick one of automatic picture modes, such as, Auto, Close-Up, Landscape, and Portrait.

Don't expect too much about image quality for the camera at this price. You can get good 4" x 6" pictures without doubt but forget about 11" x 14".

You get what you pay for. This camera is very worthwhile at the price below $100.

Summary: This camera is great for a beginner, it is small, lightweight, cheap, has decent resolution, and it is CHEAP! I got this for my fiance who has been wanting a digital camera, this will be a great camera for her to start out with!
