Toshiba PDR-M71 3.1 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: Easy to use and prints out great pictures

Weakness: None I have come upon. Have not explored Movie feature yet

On recent graduations by my daughter from college and my niece from high school, I have printed out great pictures and with the software have cropped and printed out great closeups with family groups. These have made great gifts, and I have many family members wanting some. On recent trip to Cherokee, NC, I took some great nature pictures and framed them. Download from camera to computer is great and have arranged all pictures into albums. This is my first digital camera and I love it. No more paying for film and developing and I am in control of what I print!

Toshiba PDR-M71 3.1 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: Everything that you can think of is it's strength

Weakness: only minor reason: not pretty, and the lenz cover drops off well.

this is the one that you should have for this money. 3mega, video, vivid LCD, powerful options, ....

I bought this for my friend and he really likes this. I also manipulated several times, and it really is good.

I strongly recommend this!

(pcworld.com also recommended this one)

Toshiba PDR-M71 3.1 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: Easy to use . Deleting pictures is easy. Pictures come out great with autofocus. Hooked right up to my Mac no problem. (I'm using OS 9.1) I don't know how well it works with OS X yet.

Weakness: Comes with a Smartmedia card that is only 8MB and can only store about 8 pictures. Need to buy a bigger card.

I would highly recommend this product because the pictures come out great and it is easy to use. Also it comes with the ability to make short movies(with audio), 3.2 megapixels, and a 6x zoom! I could not find a better priced camera with all that. ( I paid $370.00 not $499.00 that it sometimes goes for.)

Toshiba PDR-M71 3.1 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: Easy to use digital with all of the bells & whistles, video audio and 3.3MP. The Image Xpert Software provided with the camera is user friendly, especially compared to Sony's software.

Weakness: optional lenses require a special adapter

This is my second Toshiba digital. I previously owned an M60. This camera is fantastic. It's compact, easy to use and with every option imaginable. It works well in low light situations. I specifically bought this camera for the macro capability. I bought a lens adapter and optional 13X macro lens.

Toshiba has designed this camera extremely well with the USB & video ports easily accessible. I had problems with my old M60 accidentally powering on. They solved this on the M71 with a separate power-on-off switch.

Toshiba PDR-M71 3.1 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: True colors. Canon Lens. SmartMedia. Tons of options. Movie with sound. TV cables. Comes up as hard disk on pc & ibook.

Weakness: Movie .avi not Quicktime (m$) Some options a bit difficult to find. Time to wait between pictures rather long; 1st camera so I have no reference. A bit bulky.

It met my expectations. Has the value/options mix I was looking for: 3mpixels,3x zoom & smartmedia. Gateway had a discount code that brought the price down to three twenty & no shipping.
WAS AVAILABLE! Got tired of waiting for the finepix 2800 or the olympus. This is my first digital camera, so I have no basis to judge it from.
