Toshiba PDR-3300 3.2 Megapixel Compact Camera

Strengths: Good Photo Quality. Manual Controls. Black Case-can't see scratches. Price and what you get for it :) SD Format. Ease of operation.

Weakness: Cheap lense cover. Simple bundle. ONLY 8mb SD card :(

After tiresome!!!!! reviews I was searching for a camera that was
1. 3mp or more
2. under $300 dollars
3. Used SD format
4. The BEST bang for my buck!!!!!

And my end result was the Toshiba PDR-3300 or the Kodak DX4330 and my end result was the TOSHIBA.

REPLY TO DC RESOURCE POSITIVES:
The value s great! I bought 2 packs of 1800 batteries and a 1 hour charger for it too plus a 64 MB card all total I spent $415 dollars at Wal-Mart. I use the manual controls allot and then sometimes the auto as well. I love the remote control to take self portraits plus there is a timer on it 10-2 second count down. Has histogram and good job at reducing red eye. Photo quality gets 3 1/2 stars out of four. (You can take SD to photo center in Wal-Mart, insert card into machine which you can EDIT the photo select sizes and how many to print and BAM you have photos on Fuji Crystal Archive Paper which last 63 years before showing signs of aging!!!!)

ABOUT DC RESOURCE NEGATIVES:
I never use the movie mode since I have a Mini DV Camcorder which is awesome. I also haven't noticed any blue cast. Not real sure what he means about fuzzy auto focus it does have difficulty in dark on auto focus but nothing that can't be overcome with manual controls or other adjustments. I love the body becuase it is black and the scratches aren't as noticeable so for me that was a real POSITIVE. It doesn't have a AF illum but I never really notice too much.

CONCLUSION:
BUY!

PDR-3300 Digital Camera

Strengths: Great Quality photos. Works well with computer programs. The movie mode gave excellent pictures. Ease of operation. It worked well as long as it worked. Black case - no scratches.

Weakness: Only worked for 3 years. Labor is too expensive to have repaired. Only two locations in the country to have serviced.

I will not buy another Toshiba camera because of the poor service. Technical support is difficult to contact and the info is from the manual. I will have to purchase a new camera. I purchased this one through QVC with lots of perks.

nice to handle black finsih good

Strengths: easy operations, eveything at finger tips. manuel easy to follow. Like remote and movie mode. Esp sofeware for computer use.

Weakness: Weak as holding up to use. 3yrs old and on/off board does not work. At high price for labor $97 an hour not work it. Buy new one, better warrenty.

Will not purchase another of this kind. As a package it's nice but not able to use with others. Would like to see more service available, as only two in the country and they don't service it or answer questions other then the Manual you get with it.
