Strengths: Memory card types, macro mode, 5x optical zoom
Weaknesses: lens placement
Summary: This camera is a great deal for the price, even though it is only 8MP that is perfectly fine for most uses and I can still print large image sizes when I need to. I love the 5x optical zoom as well as the macro abilities which are strong for a simple point and shoot.

Strengths: Takes great pictures in sunlight. Very sleek looking and nice LCD size. Two media options
Weaknesses: Pics grainy when taken in dark
Summary: I am fully satisfied with my Samsung I85 that I recently bought. But I wanted a backup camera so I went with a basic one at a very reasonable price. For the price and specs, the Z100fd looked like a perfect buy. It is great that it supports both xD and SD/SDHC formats. The camera takes clear pictures in bright light. But I have noticed orangish grainy pictures most times while taking pictures at night. I have yet to fully explore the features but I am sure this camera will make a great backup unit.
