Strengths: quality, size, ease of use.
Weaknesses: none at present
Summary: I have not had this camera for very long, but so far so good. It is light and has a good quality feel about it. I would think someone with large hands would find it a bit fiddely at times, but no big deal. Very easy to use even for beginners. Would at the present time reccomend to people looking for a good digital to start of with.

1 Star ReviewI bought this camera based on its size, resolution ...
Strengths: Makes cool noises/visuals when you start it up
Weaknesses: Terrible customer service/repair. Often lets me down when I need to start it up for a photo.
Summary: I bought this camera based on its size, resolution and cool features. I discovered soon after buying it that it was not all I thought it was. The first thing I noticed was that taking photos with one hand was very difficult to do without accidentally turning the camera off just as I was pressing the button to capture the moment. This was because of the slide bar design of the power switch. Also, after having the camera for only a few months, the lens motor malfunctioned, causing a lens error and not allowing the camera to start. Sent it back to the manufacturer who I didn't hear from until I called them two months after sending the thing in. At that time they didn't know why my camera hadn't been repaired and sent back to me, so they told me that they would call me back...which they didn't. So two weeks later I had to call them again! It was then that they tried to tell me that the camera had malfunctioned because of impact damage. They told me that this was evident because of scratches on the face of the lens portal. I asked them if the scratches were arc-shaped, and they said that they were. I then asked them to power the camera down and back up again and watch the travel of the lens cover. It opens in an arc!!! Anyway, they wound up sending me a new camera, which still lets me down when I need it to start up, and which sometimes displays "LENS COVER ERROR" on the LCD when I try to start it up, so I have to turn it on in play mode, then switch it to camera mode while helping the lens cover get out of the way of the telescoping lens. TERRIBLE!!! Every other camera that I own is a Canon. My SLR, my video camera, all Canon. I should have stuck with a brand that I trusted. I'll never buy another Fuji product again! Even when I'm caught without a camera and I have to buy a disposable, I'll still pay the extra money for the brand that is not the Fuji.

Strengths: compact size, user-friendly
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: I am really enjoying this (my first) digital camera. I love the fact that it has both optical and digital zoom, user-friendly menus for novices like myself, and video with audio capabilities. The fact that it is only slightly larger than a deck of cards is a plus. I purchased the dock, which charges the batteries and uploads pics automatically, which is also great. I also added a 32MB memory card for more pic storage. This is a terrific first timer's camera, and the pics are excellent quality.

Strengths: You can't go wrong with the auto feature. It has always adjusted it self to take the perfect picture for me.
Weaknesses: NONE.
Summary: This is my frist digital camera, I had a friend that had a similar model and I held out to buy another cheaper one. I couldn't find one I liked as much as this one. My husband bought it online for my birthday in September 2003. I was a little afraid at first, because everything was written in Japanense. But after i change the settings to english and used it for my sisters wedding a week later. I was convinced i had a excellent camera when I took 200 pictures with my 128mb memory and printed out with my photosmart printer it looked like I had gotten my pictures printed professionally. The video on it is good also, but only a few minutes long.
