Nikon Coolpix 2100 2 Megapixel Compact Camera - 4.70...Strengths: IMHO very good picture quality for a 2 meg camera. I bought 2 of them-one for a gift. The AF seems to work well in the dark. Seems to do everthing well and I like the size. Weakness: At this point, I haven't found any just yet The reviewers that whine about battery life of this camera-I got a suggestion. It uses compact flash memory, which is very cheap compared to the others. I bought a 256 mb compact flash card from circuitcity for 40 dollars, and it holds 500 pictures. Nikon Coolpix 2100 2 Megapixel Compact Camera - 4.70...Strengths: Exellent images; easy to use; durable construction; feature rich Weakness: Wish it had RAW format, but thats low priority and seldom used. I used the Cannon PowerShot S50 as a benchmark for comparison and feel I got 90% of all I wanted for $300 vs. $500. All metal body makes it feel durable and rugged. Compact and easy to carry in pocket. Sharp and readable LCD screen. I also compared it to the Olympus Stylus 400, and for close to the same price I feel I got more for my money. Excellent image quality indoors, even in low-light conditions; outdoors the images are bright and vibrant even on overcast cloudy days. Nikon Coolpix 2100 2 Megapixel Compact Camera - 4.70...Strengths: I have saved about 10$ buying by Pricegrabber. Camera is very convenient in use. It has tiny size, low weight and good shape. Perfect work of digital zoom. Weakness: Li battary is unchargeable. I would strongly recommend to buy also charger for AA batteries and several rechargeable batteries and additional Flash memory to have more pictures. Also I would note that delivery has been done very fast. They provide computer software to ease the work with images of pictures. 40% of readers found this review helpful. Nikon Coolpix 2100 2 Megapixel Compact Camera - 4.70...Strengths: Small, lightweight, sharp photos, the absolute best Macro shots with flash, does not wash out photos, I use it in medical photography and have found it best for very close photos Weakness: sucks batteries dry. Even with high power AA rechargeables, they don't last long for flash photos, keep extra AA rechargeables available. Also not the best for indoor flash (non macro) I use this for close up and macro medical photography (skin lesions, fingers) and body photography. This is a great little camera to carry around and use for this purpose. It also takes good outdoor and short range indoor shots. The flash is a little weak for indoor shots > 10 feet away. For what I use it for, this camera is better than many of the more expensive cameras which wash out the macro photos if you use the flash. This one does not! I've bought four of them. Nikon Coolpix 2100 2 Megapixel Compact Camera - 4.70...Strengths: I am very happy about Nikon.I think that I saved a lot of money.My friend purchased the same product from amazon.com for much more.Such a great dig. camera for such a price is really a gain Weakness: I wish it comes with the rechargeable battery and battery charger.I would pay more for this function. Overall, I am happy that I purchased this camera.So far,it is good.I actually used my friend's Nikon before I purchased this.The picture quality was impressive.We also used Sony and I have to say the picture quality is much better than Sony's 75% of readers found this review helpful. Nikon Coolpix 2100 2 Megapixel Compact Camera - 4.70...Strengths: Small, pretty nice pics, handy Weakness: You should not expect too much on this kind of small cameras, right? I would highly suggest it for family use! It is very easy to carry around and the size of the pics are just what your mother wants, no need to zoom-in and zoom-out. Haven't used it long enough to know how long batteries last. Takes good quality pictures without a lot of fuss. It was easy to learn how to use it for someone who has never used a digital camera before. The set-up screens are helpful. The camera is fun to use and compact enough to carry around. The camera takes good pictures in ideal light condition, and has a great lens. Low-light pictures are OK. Nikon Coolpix 2100 2 Megapixel Compact Camera - 4.70...Strengths: It's easy to use and small fits in your purse like most digital cameras. Weakness: Not good for travel battery drains very quick, Bad FOCUS LIGHT for indoor or night pictures. I would not recommend this camera since you can not use it at night the focus does not make the picture come out. It's only good for outdoors with light. The battery drains out after a couple of pictures taken if you are traveling you don't have much time to be replacing batteries you could miss out on a good picture. It looks nice because it's small and fits in your purse but if you are serious about taking pictures buy a better quality camera. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Strengths: Very easy to use. Extremely good for close up pictures.
Weakness: alkaline battery.
I have this camera for almost one month. I have already taken more than 1000 pictures. It works very well if light is strong. It sucks alkaline AA batteries like candy. Two alkaline AA batteries can only shoot 30 pictures. I use two rechargeable 2000 mah AA batteries and can take more than 150 pictures. All pictures were taken with flash on. You'd better get rechargeable batteries.
