Strengths: Solid feel, brand reputation, compact but easy to hold, video capability.
Weaknesses: Have not found any yet.
Summary: I am ecstatic with this camera. I read a lot of reviews and looked at a number of newer cameras before making the purchase. While there are many newer cameras boasting more megapixels out there, I'm glad I bought this one. Personaly, I don't think most people will really need anything more than 3 megapixels. I like the solid feel of the camera body compared to the lighter, plastic feeling of many new cameras. It is very easy to use, and my wife learned it just like that. We also love the video capability. Excellent picture quality. We love it.

Strengths: MPEG movi mode only limited by memory, size, magnesium body, infolithium battery, Sony brand.
Weaknesses: None, except I wish the burst mode took more than 2 pictures and the multiburst mode only takes at a low resolution.
Summary: I reserched digicams for several months.....I read tons of reviews. And this was the camera I ended up with. So far I am very pleased with this camera! It is very easy to use, takes great pictures and I would definatly recommend it!

Strengths: Compact size; captures images and audio; compatible with a Sony-made underwater housing (scuba friendly)
Weaknesses: Perhaps price for some, but seems like top of the line to me
Summary: I purchased this camera on behalf of a group for a very special friend's birthday. I knew that it had to be a lightweight, compact camera for her traveling lifestyle, but with the ability to produce high resolution large or small photo prints. I am so satisfied with my Sony (DSC-S75) that I knew I would get her a Sony too. She is an avid diver and so its compatibility with a reasonably priced underwater housing made by the same manufacturer is an important feature also. I couldn't find that for some of the other comparables.

Strengths: Great quality pictures, size is easy and compact
Weaknesses: size makes it fragile
Summary: I wanted a digital camera that was compact and easy to use. After buying a bulkier digital camera and ended up returing it, I was very please with having a compact size. It's easier to carry and convienent. The picture quality is great and easy to download.

Strengths: Very light and small. A lot of different features. Metal body. Good pictures in a low light.
Weaknesses: So many features that it takes time to learn everything (not necessarily a weakness).
Summary: Great camera so far. Easy to use once you learn how. Connected to my TV - great pictures. The battery lasts long.

So far I am enjoying it.

Strengths: Small size, looks, good build
Weaknesses: sometimes slow to focus in low-lighting situations...included Memory Stick too small
Summary: I could not be happier with the P8...it's small enough to fit in a coat pocket and it's ready to shoot within seconds of turning on...and it looks good too!! I like the built in lens cap, no fooling around with it or getting lost.

The included MS is way too small..only 16mb. I highly recommend investing in a 128mb or if you can afford, 256mb. I've seen 256mb MS for about $60, not too bad. Battery life is ok, about 60 minutes with LCD on...might want to invest in a back up one for those long days at Disneyland.

Quality of pics is excellent, though lens sometimes is slow to focus in low-light environments. But nothing that's frustrating or annoying. The ability to record MPG movies is great too!! Warning: You need a large Memory Stick to record for a significant amount of time at VGA (640x80) resolution.

I would definitely recommend the P8 to anyone looking for a 3 megapixel cameara.

Strengths: It's a Sony, small compact, great features!
Weaknesses: None yet
Summary: We have been happy w/an older model P30 (yeah, seems ancient now). It's been reliable, solid, and durable (withstanding many vacations). When it was time to update our camera, I researched. Though the P10 is the top of the line for the Cybershot series, it is considerably more money and it's too much of a camera for me. I'm happy w/our choice...picture quality is suburb and ease of use...piece of cake.

Strengths: Size, red-eye reduction, viewfinder, you can buy wide-angle attachment.
Weaknesses: None!
Summary: This is my second Sony cybershot, my first was a 1.2 megapixel. When I decided to upgrade my megapixels, I bought a Canon SD10 4.0 megapixel camera, but sold it. I went right back to the Sony cybershot 3.2 megapixel. It works just as nice as the first camera, just more megapixels. Easy to upload pictures onto the computer or printer and I love using the memory stick. While in Canada I purchased this camera in a very nice light blue color, which makes it even more special!

3 Star ReviewOne slip from 2 feet to the floor and this camera ...
Strengths: Great pictures
Weaknesses: Fragile and impossible to repair
Summary: One slip from 2 feet to the floor and this camera was history. Sony said it was fixable for $185 max then after I shipped it they said it would be more than $350 to fix (new its $250). Promised to refund my shipping charges but haven't seen a dime in three weeks. There are a lot of really nice digital cameras out there for $250 or less without proprietary memory....
