Strengths: Zoom, menu features, everything about it.
Weaknesses: Nothing I can find.
Summary: This is a great camera, its software has an over two hundred page instruction manual and if you study it you will be taking pictures with professional quality in no time. I have never owned a digital camera before and this one really shocked me at how well it worked, out of the box (it has a quick start guide), without any instruction for all its features or changing any settings (it has an Auto mode setting from the factory). Anybody that has a problem with this baby just needs to read the instructions. The menus took me a little getting used to as I began exploring them, while reading the instructions, but after that there were no problems.

The Ni-MH batteries take 9 hours to charge but last really well with my 128Mb. XD memory I added, and with it will take about 150 pictures for me at a time. Wow! The 16Mb. XD included memory is only good for like 18 pictures so get added memory.

The "Through The Lens" view finder can be used with your glasses ON and you can swap between it and its TFT LCD review screen.

Want to take a picture of a moving object without a blur? It will do it!

40X Zoom with the 4X digital and 10X optical really drags those distant shots up close and sharp!

4 million pixels? This thing can be set for 8 million effective pixels! I've never seen pictures so clearly with so much detail before and I had no idea a consumer grade camera could be so good.

Run don't walk to get one of these if you want a great camera. Oh yeah, the new model C765 is out now and the price for this one is dropping. The only major difference is the C765 uses lighter rechargeable lithium batteries (big deal).

Want to make a movie? It does that too! Get a 256Mb card and make about a 15 minute movie with sound! Or with a 512Mb. card about a 30 minute movie! (it uses Quick Time movie format)

There's no way to say enough about it here. Its just excellent.

Strengths: 10X Optical Zoom, Outstanding battery life, Good price, Great on full auto, or has many standard manual controls.. Macro and Super Macro... Hot shoe
Weaknesses: None for me..
Summary: 2003-09-24 02:35:53 I just Love "our" new Olympus C-750 Ultra Zoom..

This is our second digital camera, and I still consider myself a digital camera neophyte, but this camera has you getting great results right out of the box..

My wife and I have been using it in all kinds of different situations over the past couple of weeks, with very pleasing results.

Whether it is snapping pictures of the grandchildren indoors, or outside, or taking pictures of live bands in night clubs, this camera always seems to deliver.

I was looking at the 5 Mega Pixel cameras for our second digital purchase, but the charts that I’ve seen (Mega Pixel to print sizes) makes me think that this 4 Mega Pixel camera will do us just fine, and with outstanding battery life, and 10 times optical zoom, this camera was the clear winner...

My only other comment is we may get the Olympus FL-40 dedicated flash to take full advantage of the Ultra Zoom, in less than perfect lighting situations...

Happy Snapping...

Strengths: Feature-rich, Excellent quality shots, Batteries live forever, 10X zoom. The Camera provides for a full range of uses simple point and shoot to manual I also like saving 4 different user settings
Weaknesses: the Flash shadow in Macro shots.. the girp area is a bit small and took me some getting used to happy with the rest
Summary: Overall this is a quality camer that takes high quality shots. It feels sturdy in the hand, and is a breeze to use. The menus are easy to navigate allows quick access to saved settings. I like to take the full range of shots, indoor, night, action, portraits and landscapes, this has worked beautifully with all. Using the zoom you should definately invest in a tripod.

For those who want a point and shoot, with a great zoom this is it, for those looking for more advance features this is also a quality buy for under 500$.

In short I am very Pleased thanks Olympus!

Strengths: Powerful optical zoom, easy to use, loads of manual controls, excellent image quality, list goes on and on!
Weaknesses: Autofocus time is slightly more sluggish than I would like. Zoom operation is also a little sluggish.
Summary: The C-750 delivers crisp, sharp images. The color is excellent in my opinion. Accurate and well saturated without being overdone. It's easy to use. If you're a novice snapshooter just set it on AUTO and fire away! The long 10x optical zoom is a HUGE plus for this camera. You can fill the frame with subjects that would otherwise still be a speck in the middle of the frame. Full Auto delivers great results in most lighting situations. For more advanced photographers, there is a lot of flexibility with this camera to easily adjust exposure, aperature, shutter speed, contrast, saturation, white balance, and more. Menus and mode dial are easy to use and intuitive. I am very pleased with this camera! It is not pocket size, but it is light and small, and handles nicely. It fits into a small belt pack if you're hiking or on the go.

A plus for me is the batteries are AA size. It comes with rechargeable AA's and a charger. The nice thing about AA size is it is easy to find them anywhere at a reasonable price. Try to find one of those proprietary odd size batteries that many other cameras use at a convenience store when you most need them and you'll understand my point.

Only mild negatives for me are the autofocus is a little slow sometimes, and the zoom is a little sluggish sometimes. Mild negatives that do not take away from the overall enjoyment of the camera.

A big Thumbs Up! There is no better combination of zoom, image quality, ease of use, and price available now.

Strengths: Zoom! Battery Life, remote
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: I am headed to Africa for safari and instead of buying a bigger lens for my 35mm Canon I decided to go digital. The 10x zoom (380mm equivalent) convinced me to try this camera. I also bought the TCON-1.7x extender. The camera has been great so far. Super crisp pictures and hand-holding at 10x works well although a tripod and remote definitely works better. With the 1.7x extender hand-holding isn't really viable.

Since we are going to be on Kilimanjaro for 8 days I decided to do a battery test to see how many shots I can get on a set of batteries. It has turned out far better than I thought it would be. With the included rechargables, I've shot over 225 pictures on a charge and I'm still going! I can get 19 pictures on the 16MB card, so the battery life has included downloading after every 19 pictures and erasing them. I do lots of zooming, AF and> 50% flash.

I've also bought a 256MB card and a xd to CF adapter so I can download the pictures to a 20 GB storage device that my brother-in-law will have on safari (but he won't be on the climb).

Hopefully the camera will hold up to the cold on the climb and the dust on safari. My 6 year-old Canon Rebel has made it through many, many backpacking trips and mountain summits without fail and is coming along as a backup. Afterall, that's what the porters are for!

Strengths: Great telephoto (380mm equivalent), high quality images
Weaknesses: Only 38mm equivalent wide angle, noise at ISO 400, xD card, plastic tripod socket
Summary: Fantasic camera! I waited through several product release delays, including the temptation to give in and buy another camera (Olympus C-740, Fuji S602), but the bottom line is I am very glad I waited. The first few pictures I took with the camera were very good, and I am sure as I learn the camera and digital photography techniques, the pictures will only get better. While I am not yet ready to replace my 35mm film Nikon system, this camera will likely be my choice for casual family and vacation travel pictures. The bulk and weight difference between the C-750 vs. the Nikon F-100 + 28-200mm lens + 200-400mm lens + flash gun is incredible and all I am giving up with the C-750 is the 28mm wide angle, some flash range, and big (11x14 cropped or larger) print resolution.

Strengths: GREAT CAMERA WORKS JUST LIKE I HAD HOPED.EASY TO LEARN AND OPERATE. EVEN MY 4 YR.OLD CAN TURN IT ON AND TAKE A GOOD PICTURE
Weaknesses: SHUTER LAG CAN BE A PROBLEM IF YOU HAVE TO A FAST SHOT, MY WANT TO SET UP A FAST CUSTOM SETTING TO USE.ALSO YOU WILL PROBABLY WANT TO BUY A NEW PRINTER TO DO THE CAMERAS INCREDABLE IMAGES JUSTICE.
Summary: GREAT CAMERA GREAT PICTURES GEAT PRICE EVEN THE VIDEO OPTION FOR SHORT VIDEOS LOKS GREAT.USING PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS FOR EDITING.I'VE REALLY ENJOYED THE RESULT.BUY A TRIPOD CAMERA DOES NOT HAVE IMAGE STABILIZATION FOR THOSE 10X ZOOM SHOTS.PANARAMIC FUNCTION ALSO WORKS WELL.I'VE ALSO BEEN AMAZED AT THE ASSORIES AVAILABLE. I'VE PURCHASED THE SCREW ON LENS BARREL WITH UV AND POLARIZED FILTER. THERE IS ALSO A WIDE ANGLE LENS AVAILABLE, EVEN AN UNDERWATER CAMERA HOUSING.ALSO CONSIDER THE NEW C-770 LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER GREAT CAMMERA

Strengths: 10x optical zoom, crisp stunning pics, 4 megapixels, lots of features, etc.
Weaknesses: none except the included 16MB xd card, which is too small for a 4mp camera
Summary: I've bought the camera after 15 years of using SLR (my last camera was Canon EOS300), feeling tired of carrying the whole camera bag full of lenses and accessories around. After careful selection and viewing the reports and reviews of users, I decide to buy the Olympus C750UZ. True to all the comments, I was not disappointed at all. The pictures were very sharp, autofocus was good in digital standard and the features were incredible.... thumbs up to Olympus for making my travel pictures better with lighter equipments to carry.

Looking foward to buy the underwater casing and try my hand at underwater photography.

The are lots of interesting places to visit in my country, Malaysia....and lots of good photos to be taken

Strengths: Easy to Use for beginners
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: I have never owned a camera until I purchased this one a few days ago. I certainly have a lot to learn about all the great features this camera has. The wonderful thing about this one is that it is also just a simple point and shoot camera as well as having some very complicated features for a beginner like myself. I am very happy I bought this one and am looking forward to the many hours of teaching myself the many features of the C750. The 8.5 x 11 photos I have printed out are incredible. Almost professional looking. I highly recommend this camera, even for beginners like myself.

Strengths: 10X optical zoom, small enough, very easy to operate,4 megapixel, takes AA batteries & comes with rechargeables/charger. Great indoor pics with no flash! Incredibly sharp pictures all around!
Weaknesses: Shutter button response is slower than I'd like - common to all digitals.
Summary: I've been able to use it very effectively without reading all the documentation which shows how user friendly it is.

I needed it quickly, so I just called the 800# of the company giving the best price with a good seller rating since they usually call you to confirm the order anyway before shipping. Got good service and the camera arrived 1 day early!

I suggest buying accessories like memory cards at local discount stores instead of online. Example: 256mb xd card at Costco = $85, online at vendor I purchased the camera from = $159. Our Costco also sells a high speed AA battery recharger for only $20!

Although it's not as small and light as the other pocket sized digitals it is still smaller than my SLR and has the great zoom to make carrying it around worth it.

I highly recommend buying this one!

Strengths: Great Price, for an excellent camera
Weaknesses: You can only buy Olympus Cards for this camera.
Summary: The Salesmans at Protek Direct was extremely helpful, and it was the cheapest way to go. The camera has an almost endless amount of features. Two of the best are is 10x optical lense which can't be found on any other camera for this price, and its high quality of resolution. I highly recommend purchasing htis camera.

Strengths: Camera has great picture quality for close ups and distance, even without the extra lens you could purchase. The ease of use with the menus is especially great as well.
Weaknesses: The video images have a poorer picture quality than the still photo images. I bought this for the camera not the video. The video is a bonus for sending digital images to friends and family via email.
Summary: I bought additionally a 512 MB XD Picture Card than the 16 MB card included and also bought the 0.45X Micro Lens and the 2.0X High Defination lens. I now have no limitations in what I want to shoot and this camera is a great package at little cost compared to others I checked out before purchasing this combination. I highly recommend this to any amature or professional photographer. It will be well worth your investment, you won't be ashamed or disapointed in this little beauty!!!

Strengths: 10X optical Zoom. Hot shoe. 4 MEGA Pixel
Weaknesses: Hot shoe is designed for the Olympus Flash. Flash is very expensive. It will allow you to use other manufacture flash in Manual mode. There is a Caution to prevent damage to camera.
Summary: Started to get use to camera after playing with for several hours. There are alot of menues, but managable. Looks like this will be a definite KEEPER.

Strengths: Great zoom, more options than advertised, excellent crisp pictures with accurate color and great resolution, manual focus, solid feel metal case, remote control is great for family portraits.
Weaknesses: Memory of course. I have seen better video modes. Panorama mode can only be used with Olympus xD cards. Zoom a little slow in responding sometimes.
Summary: 2003-12-29 21:42:48 I have done a lot of research and decided on this camera. It boiled down to picture quality and I have not been disappointed. This is a superb camera with lots of options for the camera enthusiast. The zoom is incredible. Good lenses, It can be a simple camera with its auto mode and yet has many adjustments for the more experienced photographer. The panorama mode which can only be used. The camera downloads the pictures to the computer very fast. I recommend buying the filter adapter and a UV filter. With the two of those the camera lenses and zoom is well protected. Quality camera. Remote control is great for when you need to be in pictures, can keep taking pictures without reseting the camera.

Strengths: This camera has all the bells and whistles of the C 2100 and more. It is easy to use like all Olympus digitals and the cropping feature is the best.
Weaknesses: Problems in low light but this is the same for all digital units.
Summary: This is the third C series camera I have owned and it is dandy. I was disappointed in the C 720 for lack of the basic features offered in the C 2100. The 750 brings almost all of the original items in and adds several more that are easy to understand and quite useful. Taking sound stills that are actually on the photo is great.
