 Why did Canon leave out it's best features Strengths: Wide angle, good movie mode
Weaknesses: Noise, fringing, lack of AA batteries, lack of tilt/swivel LCD, can't zoom while in movie mode
Summary: The problem with all compact cameres is noise. Did Canon enlarge the sensor to reduce noise? NO. The benefit of generic AA batteries is that you can easily / cheaply buy more when your's run low. Did Canon continue this feature? NO. Canon makes an xlnt tilt/swivel LCD, lets you take pictures around corners, from over the heads of a crowd in front of you & from under things blocking eye level views. Did they include this feature? NO! Canon; why only make "fairly good" cameras when you could make great cameras???
