Strengths: The zoom is awesome on this camera.
Weaknesses: I haven't quit mastered indoor/action type shots but still turn out pretty decent.
Summary: I've never been a fan of Fuji and wanted an affordable camera that could take close up shots of my kids playing sports. Of course all the cameras I have had takes decent pics when you are right in front of the camera but with digital being outside the fence during baseball or behind the glass during hockey...they always turned out blurry and distorted. This camera was the answer to all my problems. It has some weaknesses but overall it's the best digital camera I have owned to date. (for the price)

Strengths: everything! This is a sweet camera. I have owned several cameras over my lifetime and I would have to say for the money this is the best camera I have ever owned.
Weaknesses: not enough info on how to run camera in manuel mode's such as how to set shutter speed etc.
Summary: Just a great little camera, user friendly in the auto modes.. takes some of the best pictures I have ever seen. macro is unreal.. I have taken pictures of flowers that with my old 35mm was next to impossible. video is also easy to use. I must admit I am still learning how to use camera and will get better but even if u are a beginer this is a very good camera.

1 Star ReviewSuch a disappointment.
Strengths: Macro, different settings
Weaknesses: Read error
Summary: So I have been completely disappointed with this camera. I bought this with my own money (me being a student, a $300 camera is VERY pricey) thinking it was going to be a good investment since I've began to love photography. The macro is great, the different settings are good but my main issue is with the read errors.

I took a whole bunch of pictures of the cherry blossoms and was going to download them onto my computer. Well, when I got onto the computer, it said that there was a "read error". So, I've googled to death on how to revive my pictures. Two solutions - SEND in your memory card to Fuji for "only" $49 or FORMAT your card, which in return, loses all your pictures.

So, if you plan to take your pictures, and save them too, don't get this guy. Get a Canon or something more stable.

Strengths: Automatic settings
Weaknesses: card reader issues
Summary: The camera works great...The only problem I've had is a repeating card reader error. Although I've been able to get the pics off the card it is really annoying...
