2 Star ReviewToo big - Too cheap feeling
Strengths: 26x zoom captures everything, built in features, user interface
Weaknesses: 26x zoom to slow and unsteady, physical size, cheap feeling materials
Summary: Bought it expecting a great camera, returned it as mediocre at best and disappointing allaround.

The long zoom was incredible, but the image stabilzation had a hard time steadying out at max zoom. I had to fire three or four shots to get a clear picture. Tripod really needed.

The autofocus had difficulty acquiring a target at dusk. I suspect that the slow aperture of such a large zoom is to blame.

I tested this along side the SP-570 and I loved the quality feel of THAT Olympus, but the platics on this new model were hard and cheap feeling. The metallic barrel also felt "tinny" and cheap. Felt more like a toy than a $450 camera

The camera body is almost a brick to hold. I tired after just a few minutes and I have large hands. Hand cramps predicted if you shoot on vacation all day.

Moral of the story - the superzoom craze is just as out-of-control as the old megapixel war was.

Alot of promise, poorly executed.

I'm back to the Canon SX 10 to replace my older S2.
