Summary: I don't have much camera experience but I'm enjoying the Nikon D5000. Lots of things to learn about the camera but it takes great pictures and good movies. My husband and I went to a show and we both taped the show. His movie didn't turn out at all, my movie came out great. Weaknesses: None Summary: If you confuse between D90 with D5000. You should buy D5000, latest release, more features useful. You should buy lens 55-200mm RV for $219, it would be complete package camera. I love my D5000, suitable for family purpose and little Pro. The best i like on D5000 is "tracking subject".
