Strengths: Excellent Price Point, Great Macro Shots
Weaknesses: Terrible LCD in Bright Sunshine
Summary: The Samsung SL-420 offers a lot of bang for the buck with its around $110.00 price, 12mp, and 5X optical zoom. I originally purchased the SL-420 as a dedicated E-Bay camera due to its amazingly sharp macro or close-up image abilities.
Yes, it does a bang-up job with close-up shots, but it is more than that. The SL-420 is a credit card sized, pocket camera that can hold its own as an ecomonical all around camera as well, that can also do video, but the sound is not great. My only complaint is that the LCD screen is barely usable in bright sunshine.
For anyone looking for a camera in the $100 range, the Samsung SL-420 is loaded with features.
