Canon PowerShot D10 Blue Digital Camera
Strengths: Sturdy body
Weakness: Bulky and doesn't work all the time.
Purchased this camera in Aug 2011 for a trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. On two shots I got the error message"lens error restart camera" I did and the camera worked again. About 30-45 days later it happened again, but following the message again it worked OK. In Dec 2011 I tried using the camera but always got the "lens error" message. Imagine my disappointment . I've called Canon factory and they gave me a quick fix and the address to ship the camera if the quick fix doesn't work. I'll try the quick fix in 6 days then follow up from there.

Canon PowerShot D10
THE GOOD: Excellent photo quality; comfortable to use in water or with gloves. THE BAD: Poor design for an everyday camera, expensive for an occasional camera; kind of ugly; mixed performance. THE BOTTOM LINE: It might not look quite right, but the PowerShot D10 is a solid entry into rugged cameras for Canon.

Camera Labs – Canon PowerShot D10 review
Canon's PowerShot D10 is the company's first underwater digital camera and it certainly looks the part with its bright colours and submarine styling. The D10 can operate at depths of 10m, and is also dust and shock-proof. As such it's ideal whether you're into water-sports or simply want a camera that's protected from sand or splashes at the beach or pool. The big question is how well it handles...
