I like the camera

Strengths: clear photos for a camera in this price range, easy to carry and use, price is affordable.

Weakness: disposable batteries.

I've had this camera for about 3 weeks. I have found it easy to use and it makes great photos. It is a little larger than some of the newer point & shoot cameras but I like the size. Zoom is great! I have a larger DSLR Canon camera but it is harder to carry, so this camera is great for quick pics & family outtings. I don't regret buying this camera.

Not a bad camera

Strengths: Great zoom (10X optical / 40X digital). Easy to use. Nice size screen. Full manual controls as well as auto controls.

Weakness: You need to use rechargeable batteries. It goes through alkalines like candy. Rechargeables give you a couple hundred shots plus review time.

Takes pretty decent pictures. You won't get the sharpness of a DSLR but it's pretty good for the average/above average photographer who doesn't want to spend a ton of money. The manual controls give you the flexibility to shoot lightning and go for other effects you wouldn't be able to take on with a simple point and shoot.

I had a Canon Powershot A630 but when it drowned (kids knocked it into the sink...which was full of dishwater) I needed a similar camera. This was pretty close and 50 bucks less than I'd spent on the A630. Once I figured out I needed to use rechargeable batteries, I was good to go.

You'll be happy with this camera.

Canon PowerShot SX120 IS Review

If we told you that the Canon PowerShot SX120 IS looks a little bit like its predecessor, the SX110 IS, we would be lying. It looks nearly identical to the previous model, and the similarities extend to the 10x optical zoom range and 3.0 inch LCD these models share. The improvements are subtle and well-deployed. So should SX110 users invest in an upgrade? Take a look and find out.

Canon PowerShot SX120 IS

THE GOOD: Easy to use; best-in-class photo quality; manual and semimanual controls. THE BAD: Fewer features, slower performance, and bulkier design than competitive models. THE BOTTOM LINE: Canons SX120 IS pocket megazoom falls behind the competition in every aspect except photo quality.
