Strengths: COMPACT IN SIZE YET VERY USER FRIENDLY

Weakness: THEY HAVE NOT PROVIDED A POUCH INORDER TO SAFELY CARRY AROUND THE CAMERA.

I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE PERFORMANCE. IT IS SERVING THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH I HAD PURCHASED THE SAME. PICTURE QUALITY AND ZOOMING CLARITY IS GREAT FOR THE PARTICULAR CONFIGURATION. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS AS YET SO I CANNOT MAKE ANY COMMENTS ABOUT THE AFTER SALES SERVICE.

Strengths: Small, easy to use, reasonably priced.

Weakness: all picture sizes are at 4:3 aspect ratio which fits computer screen, but not 3:2 which is standard photo

It has all the basics, 3.2 Megapixels, 3 times optical zoom, and it is small!. That means you may actually have it with you instead of leaving it in the hotel. The LCD is large at 2 inches, and the controls are easy to learn and use. Since it only comes with one rechargeable battery, you will need to get at least one extra and keep it handy.
I suggest you get a 256 Meg SD card which holds more than 150 photos at best quality. The dock works well, and the close focus (macro) at 3 inches gives great closeups of small items. No case is included, so I bought one later.
The new Z4 is almost the same camera but has 4 Megapixels and some 3:2 formats not available in the Z3, for about $100 more.

Strengths: Small - Compact

Weakness: Factory Support

I have had this camera about 3 months. After a few weeks the battery would not charge and I sent it into Casio. They returned it a few weeks later and although the battery charged, I could not get the camera to turn on. I sent it in again. I call them every two days, and I am waiting two weeks for them to advise me as to when, if ever, they are going to fix this camera or send me a new one. It worked great when it worked. But it is ridiculous that I can not get this camera fixed or get a new camera. Don't buy this camera unles you want to risk this!

Strengths: Excellent optics, very light, great macro, excellent "standard" settings

Weakness: Accidentally pushing a couple of controls can trap user unto difficult to exit options

Great camera for backpacking. We use very frequently and strongly recommend. Suggest buying larger SD card to store more photos. Battery lasts long enough for weekend backpacking trip.

This camera is an excellent buy. I had some reservations about purchasing a camera from Casio, since they are just beginning to "test the waters" in the digital camera sector. However, I could not have bought a better camera. It is easy to use, has nice size buttons, a large screen, great zoom, and my favorite part: is ridiculously small. It remains unscathed and in excellent condition despite the many times I have clumsily dropped it. It comes with software that makes it easy to One-Touch your pictures right onto your computer. The only drawback I found was that SecureDigital Cards can only carry 256 mb of memory. However, this is still more than suitable to me, as it holds 160 good quality pictures. For those fanatics who take thousands of pics: be prepared to be carrying a few memory cards.

Strengths: Easy to use - small enough for me to carry it everywhere .

Weakness: Eventhough the Zoom seems to work well, but the pictures are rather blur when transferred to the computer. They look fine on the LCD screen, though.

I still like it because I can take it with me wherever I go, but I know that I cannot trust the Zoom. If you don't use the zoom then the pictures are great.
