I love this camera! I've taken...
Strengths: Simple to use, easy to download pix onto computer, compact enough to stick in your pocket.
Weakness: Carrying the camera in my pocket probably led to the demise of the sliding door track.
I love this camera! I've taken thousands of pictures with it. You can pull it out of the box and use it on the AUTO setting without any trouble but the other settings work as advertised. I've been playing with the movie player lately and it's fun. The picture quality is excellent. It is what it is. A basic, no frills digital camera with enough zoom to keep it interesting.

Strengths: Amazing picture quality, easy to download and edit pics with software, good price
Weakness: No audio with video, video quality bad, battery life
I won this camera in a contest, but I probably would have bought this camera anyway if it had audio. The pictures are really good (CCD), even if your considering the 2 megapixels. It also surpisingly takes good pictures in the dark, because it has a double flash i guess. The editing software that came with it has proven useful and fun in making my pictures look better. The battery and video negatives work out good because the viewfinder is what really takes out the battery life, and I don't use it unless I'm taking a video.

This is a pretty good camera, the pictures I have taken with it are pretty decent, although, I am no pro. The biggest complaint I have is the batteries tend to die too quick.

Strengths: Cheap, simple point and shoot, decent picture quality
Weakness: battery life, view finder
Right out of the box, the viewfinder was off center. I would take a picture and then compare what I lined up in the viewfinder with what comes out on the screen and my computer. It is off by a solid 15% bias in one direction. If you use the LCD screen you will get a nice picture, but the batteries will run out before you know it. An excellent camera if you like your pictures off center. I returned it. Cheaply made junk. You get what you pay for.

I considered purchasing a more expensive camera, but the reviews on these cameras frequently showed one or more problems with these cameras. This camera only has a few dozen features vs twice that number on more expensive cameras. For $125 on my doorstep I am delighted with this product.

I received this camera as a brithday gift from my husband and I just love it! My son and I have so much fun with it. We keep it with us at all times. A great camera at a great price with great features...can't ask for anything more!

This is my second camera (work camera). I am a teacher and I've taken thousands of pictures with it -field trips, first day of school, assemblies. I love this camera! Its easy to use and I don't have to fumble to make it work. The shudder speed is very slow so I use a different camera for my personal use. Someone (A sub!) dropped my camera and broke it, so now I am trying to find a new one!

Well, my friend gave me as a gift. For the first time in using the digital camera, however i cant like it. Just few times for taking pictures, it's died already, when i clicked the button to take pics, it's just shown the darkness. Over all, better not use. it's not worth for ur money.

Strengths: Easy to use, cheap.
Weakness: Takes several seconds to store a photo; very poor quality construction. Goes through batteries like nobody's business. Olympus customer service is awful.
I only owned mine for a bit over a year before it died completely. After 2 months, the 16MB memory card went bad. I sent the card back for replacement and received one, but it took nearly two months for them to ship it to me. About a year later, I was taking a picture when the camera simply shorted out! When I talked to customer service they said they'd had that problem before, but since my warranty had expired, I was out of luck. (Gee, thanks.)

Weakness: Poor quality and workmanship.
This camera is cheap and the workmanship even cheaper. After only 2 days, the viewfinder went totally black. I return the product to the store and got a new. 2 weeks later the second camera's viewfinder would not come on also. I had thrown away the box by then (never let that happen again). Sent to Olympus service to fix. The fix the viewfinder, but can't take a picture because after press the button to take a pciture you get the wonderful message "picture error". I wasted $110 on this camera. I will not buy Olympus again. Its too bad I have had Olympus SLR camera for years and love them (OM-1, OM-2). Now I will buy a Canon A80. My friends love the A70 and A80. Buyer beware.

Weakness: DEPLETES BATTERIES TOO FAST
I HAVE USED THIS CAMERA FOR A PERIOD OF SIX MONTHS. DURING ONE WEEK OF STEADY USE WHILE ON VACATION I COULD ONLY TAKE UP TO SIX PICTURES BEFORE BATTERIES WOULD DEPLETE. I HAVE SINCE PURCHASED ANOTHER BRAND AND HAVE HAD BETTER QUAILTY PICTURES AND MY BATTERIES LAST ALOT LONGER. THIS STAR SYSTEM SUCKS! I GAVE IT A ONE STAR AND THEY GIVE IT FOUR..SOUNDS FISHING TO ME.

I would recommend anyone...
Strengths: I love my camera, first time using a digital cam. So easy just aim and take the pics you want. The Camedia master 4.1 software is sooo easy to install on the computer.
Weakness: Haven't found any, don't think I will either.
I would recommend anyone especially beginners to go for this camera. It has everything going for it. If I can use it anyone can. It is great, compact, takes fantastic clear photos. Just so easy to use.

An incredible camera at a great...
Strengths: Can hold a lot. Makes movies. Drains batteries at a slow speed. Inexpensive.
Weakness: Movies have no sound.(not that big of a problem). AC Adapter(device that hooks up camera to electic outlet) is very expensive.
An incredible camera at a great price. Depending on the resolution, you can have more than 100 pictures. Movie mode(played on computer by QuickTime)is cool. I didn't expect it from this small camera. No sound isn't much of a hassle, because you probably wouldn't expect movie mode. aAnd I made perfect silent movies. Size is perfect. Very compact, but still good quaility. Turning on is easy. Very sleek. Very nice. All in all, for my first digital camera,****, but almost a *****. Buy it.

Weakness: BATTERY KILLER!
This camera might have been cheap, but it's still not worth the money. When you push on the shutter button it takes about a second for it to actually take the picture, so the moment that u wanted to capture is no longer there. PLUS it sucks the battery up incredibly fast. If you just spend a few more dollars you can get a MUCH better camera. This was an awful purchase. Buyers Beware.

I have always been a big fan of olympus and let me tell you, they have not let me down. i purchsed their film camera a year or 2 ago and it took awesome pictures. so i figured that their digital cameras would live up to the same quality as the film ones [it did]. the camera is easy to use and small enough to stash in just about anywhere. i love it!

Olympus Camedia D-390
Olympus makes a lot of great cameras, but my test results suggest that the D390 isn't one of them. My advice would be to save your pennies for their higher-end D560, or possibly look at one of the other entry-level models on the market.
