Argus DC-3810 Digital Camera

Strengths: Great Value,economical,tons of options

Weakness: eats batteries, slow proccessing time.

I purchased this camera new for under $250 bucks unheard of for a 5 MP camera. For the price there is no better deal. Proccessing time is slow and camera eats batteries way to fast, but it takes AA's which are really cheap to replace. 32MB Compact Flash card is a good freebee, kinda small but fair, I suggest a 128 MB or larger card. 3x's optical zoom is great, again for the price there is no better camera. This 5 MP was the same price as 3.2 MP Camera's, can't go wrong.

Argus DC-3810 Digital Camera

Strengths: Multiple features; photo-editing and video-editing software; price point better than comparable Gateway

Weakness: LCD Screen not as clear as hoped; formatting storage just a bit too easy.

So far I am pretty happy with the DC-3810. Having purchased it for under $200 at Tiger Direct, this digital camera is a good value for enthusiasts who intend to blow up their photos to 8x10 or 11x14 size prints. The 5MP clarity is not available on other cameras for the $199 paid and the standard flash memory keeps the upgrading of storage at lower prices. The software is helpful for video editing and photo editing, although the LCD screen is not as clear or brilliant as it is on other models. Still at under $200, this is a cheaper alternative to the comparable Gateway "renamed" model and is a nice intro to digital photography.

Argus DC-3810 Digital Camera

Strengths: 5mp in a very economical camera. Great resolution for the price. Lots of extra functions.

Weakness: Shutter delay is long. Not as versatile with shutter speeds for motion pics as needed. Eats batteries.

I have not once regretted the purchase of this camera at $250 as compared to many 2 and 3 mep cameras friends and family have for $200 - 300. The resolution is great and the LCD is pretty fast. The shutter speeds are too slow for good action photography but it's great for still and slower motion pics. It does eats batteries (needs 4 AA's) but for $20 this can be solved with rechargable baterries (8 Nmic's, 4 for spares)for change on the fly. Great camera for the price.
