Okay for first camera

Strengths: Light weight, digital

I find that when my pictures are printed there are a lot of them not clear. They are hard to see and just don't look good. It is an okay camera for someone starting out but not if you plan to take many photos.

Strengths: Nice crisp pictures, easy to use, decent software. Nice feature that you can hook it up to a tv. Flash does a good job powering down in macro shots

Weakness: Quite a bit of noise in low light, a bit sluggish shot-to-shot performance, it zooms a bit loudly

Overall, good camera for the price, takes nice pictures, but it has very few scene modes, so I would recommend it mostly for beginning digital users.

Strengths: Quality of pictures, size of camera, battery life is OK for a digital camera

Weakness: Only 16MB of memory

Moving up from a 1.3MP camera. I can really see the quality of the 3.2MP image especially when printed. Very light weight and the batteries seem to alst longer than my older Olympus. I like the number of features you get for the money as well (I paid $168 for it - a good deal).

Strengths: clear crisps pictures very nice

Weakness: only 16mb internal memory

This Is a nice little camerera I really like it I also received the camerea dock 6000 which I also like. The only thing is that for the printer dock 6000 you always have to purchase the photo kit which runs at $25 each time however you do get 40 prints out of the kit so not bad. Overall for someone who is not a pro photographer this is a great camera

Strengths: Simple to use, has a movie mode, takes AA sized batteries, low price!

Weakness: No manual controls, a bit of lag between shots

I am a 35mm loyalist with a terrific Nikon SLR that I use for most of my photography, especially when photographing kids and other portraits. However, I was tempted to pickup a Digital camera because of the amount of acitivities my son is into and wanting to capture all of the moments without having to develop every shot. I was going to go for the much more expensive Canon A80 or Canon S400 but since technology is changing so fast and this is a supplementary camera, I opted to "cheap out" and got the Kodak CX6330 for $150! After using it for Xmas and New Year's even gatherings and for several other adhoc shots, I couldn't be more satisfied with the shots that I've received from this camera. It does take some getting used to going to a digital from a 35mm SLR since you're so used to firing shots off at will. There is a lag between shots for the Kodak and by the time you press the shutter to snap a picture there is a brief split second of time lost and the final pic will be a tad different than when you intended to take a shot. This becomes a factor when photographing small kids who aren't standing still waiting to be photographed. However, after developing the pics, I was stunned at how nicely the color balance, sharpness, and overall quality of the pictures came out. One thing that I really liked about the camera is that in the high resolution shots, you can default the camera to take 4 x 6 pictures as opposed to the slightly larger prints that most digital cameras take. This saves time from having to trim all the pics for final printing or relying on the printers to do the trim work.

There is red eye on some subjects, regardless of the eye color but that is easily curable using software. There are scene modes on the camera for Nighttime (you'll need a tripod for this mode), portrait, landscape, and macro.

The camera also has a low res movie mode that comes in handy in some situations...for example, at my son's karate class, after he's learned a new move, we were able to film it right in front of the teacher so that we can later review it our PC for practicing. These movies are by no means intended to be DVD quality...more for emailing and for general use on the PC.

The camera comes with 16MB of onboard memory...I highly suggest getting a larger capacity SD card. With a 256MB card, I've been averaging about 250 high resolution shots!

The Kodak batteries included are great...they got me about 200 plus shots. I bough a pair of extras to keep in the case and picked up some 2000mAh NimH rechargeable batteries for everyday use!

I highly recommend this camera for anyone that wants good pictures with minimal expense!

Strengths: So Easy!!

After reading many reviews and comparisons on this website and others...we got this camera because it is highly recommended as a first time digital and because it was bundled with the printing dock for a great price plus it had the most enthusiastic and consistent reviews. What a great deal!! The camera and software are easy to use and the picture quality from the dock is great. My husband loves to take tons of pictures, so we also bought a 128mb card right away and took over 100 pictures on vacation and still have room for more. We took the dock without the photo tray with us too and kept it charged up every night so we have not had any battery problems. If you've ever taken pictures and later wished you could take out other people or have gotten closer to a subject, the software makes it so easy to do this and then save, print or email the new picture! If you're on a budget and are hesitating about taking the plunge...stop reading reviews and go for it!!

Strengths: Easy to point and shoot, video W/ sound, software has worked well for me.

Weakness: not many adjustments for advanced photographers. no lens adapter. weak battery and memory card doors. does eat up batteries

I am very pleased with this camera. I have read how the software was bad but have had no problems at all. You can crop, adjust contrast and brightness, get rid of red eye, enhance, etc. I recommend getting the dock as it makes exporting your photos easier and keeps the batteries charged. Also, get a memory card as well.I also like the email feature.Video mode also has sound.Overall a very nice beginers digital camera

Strengths: Light, easy usage, great pictures

Weakness: none so far

I'm very satisfied with this camera. It is ideal for a beginner like me. Although you can't manually set the focus, there are enough options left to get great pictures -- even at night without flash.
Videos are astonishingly good as well and with sound.
Battery life is also satisfactory. I bought some 1800mAh rechargeable batteries with this camera, and they are enough for about 150 pictures.
Rechargeables are highly recommended though.

Strengths: Instructions are great and easy to follow. They are in American English and quite extensive.

Weakness: Doesn't wash dishes

I have been cameraphobic, until I got this. It is wonderful, has more options than I could imagine. Picture quality is superb. But best of all, it is easy to use and very easy to learn to use. No need for new batteries or any supplies other than paper. What could be better. I was up and running in less than 30 minutes. It is really easy to share pictures,

Strengths: The picture color and clarity of this Kodak camera is excellent. This camera is very easy to use.

Weakness: Battery and external memory compartment lids are flimsy.

This is my first digital camera and what can I say but that I have been missing out on much better clarity and color pictures than my 35MM camera. If you want a camera that is loaded with features and makes excellent pictures at 3.1mp and cost less than $170.00 I suggest you check this camera out. If you purchase this camera be sure and get extra memory card and the docking station.

Strengths: good quality pictures, look as good as my 35 mm film pictures, easy to use, fun software.

I just recently recieved this as an early x-mas gift and I've been having so much fun with it. I love how easy it is to use and the pictures are excellent color and quality, everyone I show them to agrees. I have 3 kids so I'm always taking tons of pictures and to be able to print just the ones I want is great.

I used the pictures I took with this camera, 30 minutes after getting it, to sell an item eBay. I doubled the price over a previous auction for exactly the same kind of item 6 months earlier, part of which I attribute to the nice close-ups this time.

I had to send it back for the dirt inside, but Kodak had it back shortly. I had to complain afterwards, but they did send me enough freebies that I can't complain now (even if these include photo paper I can't use).

Not the best, but good enough for the casual user and the price is right.

This is a great easy use camera. Sure, others may do more, but for the price, there is none better. A friend of mine recently bought a Sony for $100.00 more than I spent, and it's not measurably better than this one.

Strengths: This is a great camera for the beginner. The pictures are nice and crisp when printed out.

Weakness: The 16 mb memory is not sufficient to get the full benefit of a digital camera.When you take a picture in the dark, you cannot see the person or object clearly,but picture is great anyway.

This is a great camera, I like it very much. I purchased more memory, but I shopped around myself for the best price. I am not good at taking pictures, but my pictures are really good. The night vision mode is great. I was able to take pictures at night time with no problem. Also, the pictures are very, very clear. I am having a lot of fund with this camera.

Strengths: Ease of use. Quick great pictures

Weakness: No real weaknesses for the price range.

I have read many of the reviews concerning this camera and there seems to be a common concern over the battery life and otherwise no real issues. I can say that from a fresh set of batteries I have personally filled up and entire 256 Mbyte SD card with over 200 flash assisted shots and a number of video clips. I left the camera on the whole time and was using the live view mode that kept the display on. I did this as an experiment so I'm sure that without the live view on you should get more pictures. The key is that I used the proper battery. You should be able to expect similar performance or better if you use Energizer NiMH 2100 mAH. These batteries are fairly new but are a must. Have fun.

Strengths: Very good picture modes. Night mode and action mode esp useful for pictures. Auto mode can take most pictures well provided you know when to use the flash. Transfer of pictures is fast and easy too.

Weakness: Battery life. Reccomend rechargeable batteries or AC adaptor reccomended.

Over all, an excellent camera for beginners. This is my second digital, and for a camera bought on a strict budget it does most of what is needed for amature photography. If you just need a digital for family occasions, this is definately the one to buy. Easy to learn, easy to use, and the picture quality is very good for a 3 megapixel. The stock framerate is 10 fps for movies and it honestly feels much smoother than that. Just get an ac adaptor and a 256 or 512 mem card if you want to make movies because it will eat your batteries like a kid eats candy.

But when you buy it, buy some stock in energizer because this thing does eat batteries like there is no tomorrow. I dont reccomend using the screen too much while taking pictures unless you need the digital zoom. I went through the batteries in the box in a few hours. AC adaptor or spare batteries highly reccomended.

This camera has performed well during the past month. It is easy to use and the pictures are great. it is nice to have the ability of a digital camera to erase unwanted pictures, as i have taken many with each setting in order to get used to the camera. lots of film and processing fees have already been saved. i would recommend this camera for those new to digital photography. i purchased the camera dock to avoid having to play with the battery door and it has also worked well

I chose the Kodak EasyShare camera because of its' user friendly reputation. The instruction booklet is very easy to read and understand for the recreational photographer. The pictures that I have taken met all of my expectations. I would recommend this camera to anyone that enjoys taking pictures without complicated mechanics.

Strengths: Easy Preview with Fast scrolling. Many options via the Setup.

Weakness: None!

The Docking station that is recommended is OK but not really necessary. I recently purchased an 8 in 1 SanDisk Imagemate Memory Card Reader/Writer and it works fine (USB 2.0). If you don't have the docking station you'll need to get a Battery Charger (around $39) which usually includes 2 AA NiMH batteries (Don't use Alkaline - May be Harmful to the camera).

I took some pics with the High resolution (***) and I printed a 8x10 (via MS-Word) beautifully (had to strecth it somewhat).

The camera offers the most for the buck.

Strengths: Excellent photographs and great Camera...The autofocus system is very good, specially considering that the camera has no focus-assist lamp.

Weakness: The startup time is slow if you compare it with a film camera. Media card door is very Flimsy

Great camera great pictures. Free bag & paper nice, too. Easy to use, simple to operate and not too many bells and whistles for the beginner. It took 30 minutes from opening the box to viewing pictures on my PC...Easy, good value, free stuff! GREAT

It is a great entry level camera. Comparing it to the Canon A 75 Powershot, it performs equally on all parameters other than a few. Add to that a very competitive price, and you have a great camera.

Strengths: The clarity and quality of the pictures this camera takes is excellent as is the ease with which it is operated.

Weakness: Battery compartment lid is difficult to secure and appears to be flimsy.

Strengths: The Night feature is excellent. Quality is one of the best I've seen.

Weakness: The e-mail function is not so great.

I've had this camera and the printer dock for about 3 weeks now and its one of the best cameras I've used. The Night feature is great absolutly great. I was in my bedroom with my daughter and the lights were off, she was crawling around on the floor, I knew about where she was in the room so I put the camera on night and took a picture of where I hoped she was and sure enough the picture came out like it was day.

I have never owned any camera before and this first experience has been a great one. The software took only a few minutes to download and is very easy to follow. The camera itself offers fantastic picture quality with a great LCD screen. Many different settings including one for night and one for sports photography. And it also has 3X optical zoom. It also has a video feature which allows you to take up to a one minute video. Transferring pictures to my computer is a snap with the easy to use software. I have taken many pictures and I am still on the batteries that came with the camera. This is just a great camera and certainly worth the affordable price.

This is by far the best camera I got. I had a HP 612 (2.1 MB) camera and this one is far better.
The only thing is that it did not come with a camera case. I am using my old HP case which is fine and plenty of room since the new Kodak is much smaller.

Strengths: Great picture quality. Very easy to use for beginners.

Weakness: Short battery life. Seemed to drain battery life even when turned off.

Overall it is a good camera for the price. I would definitely get rechargable batteries though. It has a lot of easy to use features for those who are not experienced with digital cameras.

Kodak EasyShare CX6330

Kodak's EasyShare CX6330 offers 3.1 megapixels of bright, appealing color with a 3x zoom lens, in an easy to use package at a bargain price. A pure "point & shoot", it's rather limited for low-light work (you'll need the flash), and its images were a tad soft in the corners. But it's a still a nice choice for an inexpensive camera for the non-techie.
