Outstanding!Strengths: 10X Zoom, Lots of mode and scene selection choices, Large display Weakness: No viewfinder, Alkaline batteries don't last very long, No screen protector film, Price was more than expected to move up from previous Canon This replaced a Canon A550 that I had taken over 3000 pictures with. The Zoom with IS is great! The 3" display is really outstanding. Many choices of modes and scenes provides for almost every reasonable situation, ie Fireworks, Foliage, etc. With an Extreme III card, camera is really fast. Weight is reasonable. Nice Black color.

Best Digital Camera I've ownedStrengths: Display is huge! Pictures are crisp and clear. This camera is sexy and I get compliments on it wherever I take it. Simply takes better pictures than the NIKON cameras I have owned. Weakness: This camera is a little heavy in terms of weight but it has so much punch in it's picture clarity it makes up for the beefiness of this camera. I would only recommend THIS camera to any of my friends or family. I will only stick with CANON cameras because of the price, reliability and quality of photos. It's the easiest point and shoot camera I'ver ever owned. Also, I think Nikkon's are overrated because I own two and need to Craig's list them because I think they are junk compared to this one. HANDS DOWN CANON MAKES THE BEST CAMERAS!! 80% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Ultra zoom in a compact packageStrengths: Ultra Zoom (10x), compact, manual controls, large LCD screen, uses AA batteries Weakness: Zooming in, in macro mode gives blurry image, iso cannot be selected in auto mode Was looking for a camera that had good zoom, but wasnt too big. Well this camera, has a 10X zoom in a relatively compact body. Only other camera to match the compactness with the zoom is the panasonic TZ4. 90% of readers found this review helpful. What a disappointmentStrengths: Everything except for one thing. Weakness: Purple Fringing. Excellent manual controls, good quality lens, blah blah blah.. until you actually take a high contrast picture, especially in a zoom. Look at the straight edges of an object blocking the light. Purple fringes. The most ugly fringes I've ever seen even in DCs that are half the price. What were they thinking? The bright side is that I didn't feel it's cheapo price was much of a loss, cos there's no way I can morally sell, exchange or even give away this piece if junk to anyone, even to a stranger, the guilt would plague me. 27% of readers found this review helpful. Canon PowerShot SX110 IS
The Canon SX110 IS manages to pack an optically stabilized 10x zoom lens into a relatively compact body, but its image quality still competes very well with that of full-sized long-zoom cameras. In high ISO shooting, it gives up a little ground to Canon's own SX10 IS, which uses a more powerful version of Canon's Digic processor, but the SX110 IS's more compact body is much easier to pack along... Canon PowerShot SX110 IS (black)
THE GOOD: First-rate photo quality; full set of manual exposure controls. THE BAD: No optical zoom in movie capture; slippery body; spotty performance. THE BOTTOM LINE: Though its certainly a good, inexpensive megazoom camera, some aspects of the Canon PowerShot SX110 IS fall a bit short of its predecessor. Top

Canon PowerShot SX110IS
Strengths: Great zoom, faster Digic III Processor, plenty of megapixels, outstanding colors. Good enough aperture value range, great shutter speed range.
Weakness: Although there is a descent variety of scene settings, I would have liked to see a "museum" setting, but that can be fixed with other adjustments. Also, no viewfinder.
So far, the pictures I have taken look great. The only things that could potentially come across as "bothersome" might be that the flash needs to be manually opened, and also that the LCD screen makes the pictures look almost a bit grainy while being taken - but after the photo is taken, it looks amazing.
Honestly, this camera is wonderful. It is exactly what I was looking for: a top-of-the-line, "professional" point-and-shoot. It seems to be the border between point-and-shoots and digital SLRs.
