great slim camStrengths: amazing technology in a tiny package Weakness: no viewfinder, maybe too small this is simply a great camera for those looking for a small, easy-to-use, but still high-quality digital camera. can't beat the ease of use, and battery life is pretty good. only issue is the lack of a viewfinder, which I personally don't find to be a big deal. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Incrediblly SimpleStrengths: Compact size, waterproof, sandproof, instructions available on the camera itself, scenic options; fast; multiple options for either photo or video mode. Weakness: Having to use the scenes modes without a specific point of focus taking getting used to after using a flex point. I have been pleasantly surprised at how versatile this small camera really is. I bought it as a second camera back in March 2006 for a cruise as I would be on the beach and sailing. I even dropped it from a horse while riding on the beach - the camera did not get sand inside or miss a beat. It still works perfectly without servicing. It's great for it's size and the photos of Costa Rica are incredible. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Nikon Coolpix S2 Digital Camera Review
Introduced only months after the S1, the Nikon Coolpix S2 is the continuation of a line of digital cameras that Nikon has deemed its “Style” line. The sleek aesthetic and slim profile is something we haven’t seen from Nikon until now. This 5 megapixel model includes flashy features such as a 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.5-inch LCD screen, 15 scene modes, and Nikon’s in-camera palette of... Top

Excellent ultra slim digital camera
Strengths: Large 2.5" bright LCD screen. Splash proof. Lenses are covered when camera is off.
Weakness: None so far.
This is a great ultra slim camera. Extremely easy to use. The pictures are incredibly sharp. I have blown pictures up to 8X10 and they look unbelievable I have also tried to blow scenic view one up to 11X17 with very good results. I bought an extra battery with mine but so far have not even used it as the battery life is very good. My daughter used the short clip feature on hers and it also worked very well. Another thing that I also like about this camera is the red eye reduction it really does work very well. I have seen other cameras that claim that they have red eye reduction but when you see the pictures the red eye is still there. The LCD screen is also scratch proof. I will tell you also that it is very easy to work with this camera just point and shoot. I highly reccomend it. It does not have a view finder, but believe me that chances are you will not need it as the screen is very large and bright.
