Canon PowerShot G1 X
Crutchfield has collected 6 user reviews for this product with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars. The most recent reviewer said, "I've upgraded from an 8 year old point-and-shoot. Never used a DSLR and was sort of hesitant/intimidated to go that route. The Canon Powershot G1X was the answer for me. Superior image quality, RAW capability, manual functionality, HDR, and 1080p video capability really sold it for me. I'm sure I'll be using and enjoying this camera for years. Although you can do better with a DSLR in this price range, I am one that likes the fact that I don't have to deal with multiple lenses."

Nice addition to a DSLR.
This is a good addition to a DSLR and not replace one especially during times that having a full sized DSLR isn't practical or not allowed e.g. in certain venues like concerts, museums or dining out, etc.

Canon PowerShot G1 X
THE GOOD: The Canon PowerShot G1 X delivers excellent photo quality and a nice shooting design. THE BAD: Two flaws stand out: the cameras underperforming lens and sluggish shooting speed. THE BOTTOM LINE: A big camera capable of shooting some lovely photographs, the Canon PowerShot G1 Xs slow lens disappoints given its high price.

PowerShot G1 X
The Canon PowerShot G1 X takes the sharpest photos weve ever seen from a fixed-lens camera, and its image quality and video quality are outstanding overall. However, for $800, we expected better macro and burst-mode performance.

DCRP Review: Canon PowerShot G1 X
if you've got $800 burning a hole in your pocket and want a semi-compact camera with D-SLR image quality, then look no further than the Canon PowerShot G1 X. It's not for action photography (due to its sluggish focusing and burst modes) nor is it great for close-ups, but for virtually every other situation, the G1 X delivers. I'm hopeful that Canon's next large sensor camera will have a faster...

Canon PowerShot G1 X Review
Every once in a while, a camera comes along which offers a genuinely different approach to its rivals. Some--like the first mirrorless models--go on to fundamentally change the market. Others aren't quite so successful. Either way, we welcome designs that think outside the box. The PowerShot G1 X is Canon's first large-sensor compact. Its announcement last Spring prompted much speculation: was...
