Excellent camera

This camera is really a terrific unit, over and above everything else in the price range. The picture quality is wonderful, zoom is spectacular and the feature set is fantastic. I have one minor complaint with the lens cap, as others have identified. It d

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!

I purchased this camera for the sole reason of taking night-time pictures. It has a low ISO of 100 and a shutter / aperature rating of 30". I was amazed by the quality of photos this bad boy takes. It has a POWERFUL zoom (up to 60x!) and the photos you ca

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX200V

It is a few steps up for me from Fujifilm Finepix s2950. It has better image quality, good zoom and good in low light congition. But it does take a little long to process low light shots and wish it has a bigger sensor for more detail shots.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX200V

A few steps up from my Fujifilm finepix s2950 in a bit more cast. Pretty good image quality, Nice zoom, so much better in low light condition and easy to use. But the panorama shot doesn't work as well as expected and take a little time for processing low

This is my first high pixel count camera and am so far very pleased, especially at this price point. I think it's a good value(and I'm not necessarily a SONY fan). It's better than a pocket point and shoot(and larger of course), but not nearly as complica

Tremendous camera at a superb price

I first saw this camera's results on my niece's FB page, I was impressed at the color and sharpness of the landscapes and family photos. I then saw that my sister decided to get one and loved it. They were followed by another family member. For the fact t

DCRP Review: Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX200V

Overall, the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX200V is a very good super zoom camera. Its photo quality isn't as good as I'd like, but for the majority of people who will buy it, the smudged details that you'd see when viewing the photos on your computer will just blend away when images are downsized for printing or web viewing. The HX200's big wins are in terms of performance and feature set (not to mention...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX200V Review

Superzooms like the Sony HX200V are the veritable Swiss Army knives of the digital camera world. Where some cameras seem aimed for a specific task, this superzoom camera takes the "jack of all trades" approach, bolting on a versatile lens that tries to cover every possible shooting situation you might encounter. But the superzoom's design is all about one thing: compromise. Make the right...
