Love my Exilim EX-Z60 Digital Camera

Strengths: Light & compact.

Weakness: Could use more internal memeory.

The camera is exactly what I need, small, light, compact. Takes great pictures, and includes PC software to down load pictures. I haven't seen a better price, and I got the product within the stated time frame.

EX-Z60--a wonderful little mighty digital camera!

Strengths: User friendly; Ultra compact, slim, and light weight; Large LCD screen; BEST SHOT mode

Weakness: Grainy pictures in low light settings

Ex-Z60 is compact and slim, filled with many innovative, useful technologies. Ease of use is the best part of this camera. EX-Z60 is by far most intuitive among four digital cameras that I own. The 2.5 LCD is large, easy to view, and all the buttons (although some are tiny) seem to be placed in right areas. Another great feature is the BEST SHOT, which gives you access to 33 scenarios chosen from an image menu and providing you with the appropriate mode for your shot. Picture quality tends to be grainy in low light settings. That's the only con I have at this point.

Slick and big LCD screen

Strengths: Small size/sleek, Big LCD screen, pretty long battery life and good price.

Weakness: Picture quality is not as good as my other Canon cameras (SD700 & S2 IS).

I bought this camera for my g/f's bday. The sleek design (big LCD and pocket size camera) got my attention, and that's why I purchased the camera. We took alot of big pictures, and when we looked at them on the computer, the pictures don't look sharp, and the quality is not as good as my Canon S2 IS. Bottomline is that if you want good quality pictures, this is not the camera for you. But if you want a pocket sized and stylish camera, this Casio is not bad. I will never buy a camera like this for myself.

Buy this camera!

Strengths: Great quality pictures Good zoom range Relatively low cost Very small size Modern design Many useful picture modes Quick startup Audio and video features

Weakness: So-so battery life Semi-confusing controls (for beginners)

I just bought this camera for a trip, and it was awesome! Its small size made it easy to carry in a pocket. It boots up very quickly, which is a plus for those Kodak moments! A great feature was the many different modes for picture taking, which go way beyond the usual night mode. Audio and video are a nice added touch, but obviously this isn't a camcorder. Unfortunately, the battery life is not amazing, but it was okay for my trip. Also, the camera's setup options and controls are a little difficult to get used to...but if you have experience in digital cameras, you'll be fine. I have a semi-professional Kodak camera too, but I prefer this one! Overall a great camera at an unbeatable price!

Neat & Small...but be prepared for poor, dark, noisy...

Strengths: Build Quality, Super Compact

Weakness: Worst image quality Ive seen on a digital camera

We had an old Kodak 4330 for years which we were very happy with apart from the lengthy boot-up time. The pics were excellent time and again. Unfortunately that Camera packed-up after 4 years hard labour so after a little shopping around we decided on a Casio Exilim EX-Z60.
Its a little cheaper than the kodak was when we bought it, but I figured with the way Technology has improved and become cheaper over the last few years, it should be able to produce good quality pics at least as well as that old kodak.
In addition, the technical spec on this camera looked very impressive. Lots of "Best Shot" modes and a super-fast boot-up time. At last!...No more waiting for the camera to boot-up whilst those dolphins swim past!!

First impressions were good. The camera's buttons are a little small, but I'll probably get used to that...and its ready to take pictures in less than 1 sec!....so far so good.
I happily snapped away for about 5 minutes quickly filling up the old 256mb card I had...each image worked out at around 3mb each!

I then transfered the images over to my laptop for a slideshow. I was utterly disappointed with the pictures.
Indoors, outside, daylight, twilight...they were all terrible. Really grainy, only a handful of pictures were actually in-focus, dark flat colours, I could not believe it.
We spent a good few hours playing around with various settings and modes, but the quality of the pictures remained simply awful. How technology can go backwards is beyond me!
The camera has now been sent back to the supplier and we will be taking a little more time to find a nice compact camera to take away on holiday with us in November.
Thank-god we bought the camera in good time to be able to send it back before our holiday.

Review of the Casio Exilim EX-Z60 Camera

Strengths: Looks, dimensions of the camera are breathtaking. The 2.5 inches display is the best. The still photos are sharp and clear. Video shots are very neat, clear and flicker free. Value for money

Weakness: Cannot find any

I just admire the looks of this sleek camera with its rounded edges. I like the Silver design. It is very easy to use. The Best Shot option is wonderful.

good - would reccommend

Strengths: clear picture, large screen

Weakness: price

love this camera! would definitely recommend to anyone. if you want to really see the picture this has a very large screen. very easy to use and understand this camera. The camera has many features which allows for a variety of pictures to be taken. this camera is very small so it fits easily just about anywhere.

EX-Z60 - Slim Camera, Image quality not up to par

Strengths: Very small, sleek modern silhouette, big clear LCD screen, Casio reliability, good battery life.

Weakness: Picture quality quite poor (lots of noise in pics). I was hoping for a standard close to the Casio 750, but I guess I was asking for too much.

As mentioned in the pros and cons, this is for a snapshooter who is much more interested in getting a slim enough camera to fit in their pockets than the image quality. I was disappointed in the noise in the images but impressed with the range of 'best shot' modes and ease of use. My advice would be to top up a little more and get a better Casio digicam.

Good Product

Strengths: Small, lightweight. Fairly self explanatory basic functions

Weakness: Needs a case for protection. Grainy screen view.

Overall, I'm pleased with the camera. I'm pretty much a beginner and it is easy to use. I definitely need a case. The screen view is grainy, but it is clear once downloaded to computer. I spent $189 + ship.

ITS A GOOD CAMERA FOR KID

Strengths: good design and compact

Weakness: kind of price for a entry camera

I bought this camera for my daugther for college, it looks good in design and compact. Quality and features can't compare with my pro digital, but good for kids.

Casio Exilim EX-Z60

In general, the speed is great and it is typical of Casio that they have succeeded in this. The Casio Exilim Z60 is a handy compact camera with a lot of automatic functionality. It’s not perfect, but its good image quality will be more than enough to satisfy the owners of this camera!
