Kyocera SL400R Digital Camera

Strengths: Rapid start up when turning on or viewing pictures, easy to see display which is bright even in sunlight. Camera even with case easily fits i a pocket for availability. Pivot style easy to use.

Weakness: Back up battery not available for reserve power

I love this camera. It is light weight and easy to carry with you anywhere. The start up is less than 2 seconds and the display is bright, sharp and clear. I especially like the pivot feature which allows you to get pictures in places where it might otherwise be difficult. So far I have been unable to find a backup battery to use as a spare even from the seller or from Kyocera. Menu features are easy to master and settings for portrait, night light, landscape etc are easy to set. I would reccomend it for the beginner or experienced user.

I found a back-up battery for my SL-400R (BP-780s) on that auction site, you know the one. Cost me about $16.

Kyocera SL400R Digital Camera

Strengths: compact, sleek, nice case, lens cleaner, good pics.

Weakness: _horrible_ battery life.

NB. this is my first digi-cam.

i was sold on this camera's design when i first saw it. the swivel action is keen and is great for flipping around to snap self potraits of you and some friends.

i'll admit i thought digital photography was a lot simpler that it turned out to be. quick-good-lighting shots usually come out great- but low light, range of depth pics are hard to get crisp. the cam has tons of settings to let you tune things just right though. i've been able to use them to increase output of pics- but i have a lot to learn. btw- macro mode for close-ups works great.

BATTERY LIFE = BAD. :( manufacturer's says 100 pics on one charge. i would say that's true of you take 100 consecutive shots. i'm lucky if i can get 30 shots over the course of a 4 hour wedding reception. too bad it doenst take AAA bats that can be changed on the fly.

4MP seems to suite my casual use perfectly. it lays on the more-than-needed side for this type of use. i printed some shots at 8x10" with no complaints at all.

love the camera- but will weight battery life more heavily in my next purchase.

Kyocera SL400R Digital Camera

Strengths: - Small - Light - Versatile - Stylish - 4 MP - Flip lcd panel

Weakness: - Hopfully it could be a tad shorter - less sharp compared to eithe Canon A80 and Sony DSC-W1 I owned - meager capacity for the included SD card (16 MB) - Lack of lens lid

Despite the small form factor, this Kyocera SL400R wouldn’t disappoint you. It is packed with high quality lens made by Kyocera that is also the same manufacturer who secretly produces high-quality regarded lenses in the market such as Carl Zeiss and Contax. You will realize how you couldn’t miss once you use their swivel lcd. This can give you an edge on shooting pictures at various angles. I have enjoyed this tiny camera so far and really recommend having hands-on experience with it when you want an ultra-compact decent camera at a reasonable price.

Kyocera SL400R Digital Camera

Strengths: Compact, fast, good resolution of LCD screen, continuous shots

Weakness: Batter life is short - you will need a backup. No optical view finder - difficult to find objects in the night.

I bought it for my wife and she loved it. If you want to make your wife a gift, buy one of this. This is a good camera if you want something stylish, compact, and fun. Like all compact digital cameras, this may not be for serious photographing but the picture quality is good enough for most amateurs. With this camera, you can put it in my pocket when you travel, play with my kid and have fun with friends.

Kyocera SL400R Digital Camera

Strengths: I love the slim design. Camera is very small and you can take it anywhere.

Weakness: There are none at this point.

This Kyocera is one of the smallest and most versatile cameras I have owned. It is so small and compact that I can put it in my shirt pocket and take it anywhere. I love it!

Excellent!

Strengths: Compact, thin, convenient to carry around. Great for taking party pictures. Fast-shooting, no delay. Everyone who's seen it has complimented on how awesome the design is.

Weakness: Pictures arent as sharp as, say, Canon models.

This is a great camera to own especially for girls. It's so light and compact that it fits in even your smallest purse! i love it love it love it!

It's Good.

Strengths: slim, easy to use, action shots (its like an animation)

Weakness: nothing........ it comes wit a 16mb SD memory card? ............the screen is small, thats all i could think of

bought it because its slim. Very easy to use. i own lots of little gidgets, so i figured out all the functions right away. action shots are fun. every friend thinks its cool. a few of them want one. and i did say "EVERY" friend thinks its cool. and i really bought it for the size and speed. this camera is for fun. for performance and family pictures.....mayb this camera is not for u.

P.S. one more thing, reading all the other comments, i bought an extra battery, yet i never had to change the battery. Mayb, "mayb" they charged it wrong. there are tricks to hav rechargables longer lasting.
