Konica Minolta DiMAGE G600 6 Megapixel Compact CameraStrengths: Size, material (strength), Startup Speed, point 'n shoot, SD/MMC & Memory Stick capability, built in speaker. Weakness: Image quality on some images, propriatary battery, only 30 second video recording (cheaper models/brands have longer), small included memory card, no battery latch, Finger prints on case. This is my second Konica/Minolta Dimage camera. I actually Purchased the Konica KD500z a 6 months ago, I really liked the features of the camera. Unfortunatly, the battery charger broke within 4 charges. I returned it and was going to buy it again but never did. When looking into it again I decided to get the Dimage G600 in its place due to the A*IPS, 6.0mp, and advertised or published capability of supporting 1gb Memory stick Pro, and 512 SD/MMC (at least). 96% of readers found this review helpful. Konica Minolta DiMAGE G600 6 Megapixel Compact CameraStrengths: Picture quality is great. Pixel quality is very good. I can voom in a picture of the dog and count the hairs on his nose Weakness: screen is smaller than it could be. Should be bigger. When I open the camara, I am affriad of smearing the lens This thing rocks. Use is all the time in my real estate business. With a 256 card I get around 140 shots. If you need a second battery, go to ebay for cheap. I bought it at buydig. com. Very fast shipping and no crap. 92% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Konica Minolta DiMAGE G600 6 Megapixel Compact CameraStrengths: The pictures are of excellent quality. Very practical size - it is just the right size. The startup time is negligible. Weakness: The battery does not last very long. You really need the second one. The software that comes with it is not very good. The memory that comes with it is not enough! One of the main reasons I bought got this camera was because of its size. It really is very convenient for a camera to be this size - it can easily fix in your pocket. 88% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Konica Minolta DiMAGE G600 6 Megapixel Compact CameraStrengths: This camera is an excellent purchase - very sleek and small. I love the 6MP punch this packs within such a small size. Also, an added bonus: two types of memory!! Weakness: The only drawback that I have seen with the flash - sometimes it takes away from the image, making the end result a flatter image. Additional area for improvement: video clip time Overall, I think this camera is an excellent purchase. From the moment I saw it, it was definitely the size that I was looking for. In addition, it has 6MP's worth of power, coupled with a rechargeable battery, AND two types of memory cards (which can be used together!!) 83% of readers found this review helpful. Konica Minolta DiMAGE G600 6 Megapixel Compact CameraThe strip of flashing blue lights irritates the hell out of me. In a compact camera with limited battery power why add a pointless light show?. Blue lights dance on the front of the camera every time you turn on & every time you take a shot. No more unguarded shots of your kids (& even they will look at you & think, sad poser!) --- About as cool as fluffy dice. Ask at the shop if you can turn them off, I got to this page trying to find out if you can (may resort to hammer) 60% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Konica Minolta DiMAGE G600 6 Megapixel Compact CameraStrengths: Excellent pictures, rock solid camera, excellent looks, light weight. Weakness: Due to the steel body, the fingerprints are clearly visible and sometimes it looks dirty. But it is not something that I'd say is annoyable. I've been using this camera for 4 months now and it has produced excellent pictures with great quality. The camera is compact and is very well designed. Menu feature is very simple and easy to use. It has an excellent startup time which is a cool thing. The battery life is good but I didn't like its proprietary battery. They should have given AA battery. I liked the button placement, although some may find this little small. Zoom is ok but they could have given at least 4x. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Konica Minolta DiMAGE G600 6 Megapixel Compact CameraStrengths: Dual memory card & stick, 6 megapixels, very compact, sliding on/off window, nice pictures esp. when I import to my apple to make a slideshow Weakness: manual exposure is not still So far so good. This is my first digital camera. I really like the size, there are a lot of functions which I have yet to explore. The pictures are very good, I have viewed them with the music and slide show. 43% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Konica Minolta DiMAGE G600 6 Megapixel Compact CameraStrengths: Small and compact, Good deal for 6 MP diital camera, Can use both SD and MS, Very quick startup Weakness: Small SD memory included (16 MB), Get finger print easily, Slide open the camera is not easy I was looking for the compact point and shoot digital camera for my wife to take pictures of my son baby and found this one has lots of recommendation. It startups very quick and small enough to put in your pocket. Taking pictures of the baby has to be quick in order to get the best moment. Minolta includes 16 MB SD memory which is nothing for 6 MP camera. Of course, you have to buy more memory. It takes both SD and MS which is very good. The camera gets finger print very easy and the slide door for open the camera is not practical like Sony and Olympus. I would recommend if you want compact point and shoot digital camera with the reasonable price. 33% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Konica Minolta DiMAGE G600 6 Megapixel Compact CameraStrengths: Very fast startup time. Versatility with SD or MS a definite plus. Pictures very clear. Weakness: Easy to get fingerprints all over. Front cover is a bit tough to open at first (very secure). Expensive proprietary battery. I had a 2 MP HP camera before, and my wife and I had decided to move up. I was hoping to find one that used SD cards, since my new laptop has a reader built in on the side, and because our previous camera had used them. When I saw the price for this one, I knew I had to at least check it out. I read reviews all over the web extolling its virtues, so I picked it up. So far it's been a blast to use, and has tons of features. The menu button is a bit on the small side, so navigation gets tedious, but that's not a major issue. I've also enjoyed using Memory Sticks with it, since several of the Sony products I own also allow me to use them. Win-win situation for me! 0% of readers found this review helpful. Dimage G600
In our round-up, nearly every camera here took good pictures. If size is a factor, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P150—with its compact form, light weight, and 7-megapixel pictures—should fit your needs the best. We really liked the Casio Exilim EX-P600’s striking and innovative Ex Finder, but for the same price, we prefer the Canon PowerShot S70’s pictures and RAW capability.... Top

Konica Minolta G600
The DiMAGE G600 is another strong entry from Konica Minolta in the compact digicam market, this time with a six megapixel CCD and a true 3x optical zoom lens. Built on the same chassis and apparently with much of the same electronics as the previous G500 model, the G600 has nevertheless significantly improved performance over the earlier model in several key areas, including autofocus speed,... DiMAGE G600 Digital Camera
Strengths: Sturdy Case
Weakness: Small LCD
Even though this is my first digital camera, it has proven easy to use from the onset. Shots are excellent even in low light with the use of the flash. The ability to store on both a SD Card and Memory Stick is an advantage of the camera. Another plus is the design of the case, which covers the lens when not in use. This eliminates the need for a lens cap. The case is durable but prone to fingerprints. For me, the largest disadvantage is the 30-second movie clip limit and the small 1.5-inch LCD.
