Just about right for my phone

Strengths: Good quality, with SD adapter

Got this for my mobile phone. No problem storing photos, mp3 and videos. Quality is good and speed is adequate for what use for. With 2GB capacity, hundreds of songs and photos, one may think one does not need another memory card for a while.

Looking for lots of storage for your phone for a...

Strengths: Resonablly priced, lots of storage, very fast response time.

Weakness: None that I can think of. (Only one if you count that's it's so small it's really hard to get a hold of it)

I cannot think of any bad things to say about this card. This card was put in my Motorola Rokr to replace the tiny 512 MB card. Now I get 4 times the storage and can store up to 400 songs on my phone. The response time is very fast. The price I got it for after rebate was as little as some 1 GB microSD cards and it's a name brand. If you need a good, reliable microSD cards for a portable storage device the 2GB SanDisk card is the way to go. I've had zero problems with it.

The best 2GB MicroSD Card

Strengths: Large capacity, name brand, adapter included

Weakness: a bit over priced

This is the best 2GB microSD card you could possibly find out there. It works very well with my new Motorola KRZR K1 cell phone. I would highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for a microSD card. It cannot go wrong with it!!!

A Product That Provides an Inexpensive iPod...

I mean, I've said everything there is to say about this card in my strengths and weaknesses, but basically it's a decent card. It comes with a SD card adapter so you can put the microSD in most miniSD slots on computers that have front-loading slots, but if you don't have a computer like that (most HPs come with it) you'll have to go buy a miniSD USB adapter. It works fine with my Nextel i880 and I've basically turned my phone into a cheap iPod Nano.

Great product for a great price!

Strengths: Very Fast, incredibly small, very easy to install

This card worked in both my samsung trace and blackberry pearl! It was very easy to install and did not have to be formatted to be recognized as an external card. It transfers all my songs very quickly. I just can't believe how much data can be stored on such a little card!

Sandisk Micro SD 2GB

Strengths: Works great in my GPS unit. Transfer times are as expected. Full compatibility with anything else I've tried it with (card readers, mainly)

Weakness: None.

With the included adapter, the micro SD card can be used in any reader/writer that uses standard size SD memory. I've used my card to load all the roads in my four state area and I still have memory left. Perhaps I'll add topographic maps too.

Sandisk 2GB card

Strengths: Works perfect in my Sansa Mp3 player. No compatibility issues.

Weakness: None.

I bought this Sandisk 2GB MicroSD memory card to use in my Sandisk Sansa E270 6GB mp3 player. It comes with an adapter to use in a regular size SD card reader/writer. The adapter works well and allows me to plug it directly into my laptop computer. Since Sandisk manufactures the Sansa Mp3 player I expected no problems with the card. The card works perfectly and so now my Mp3 player has 8 GB of storage.

Sandisk does it again

Strengths: small, good warranty, works well, nice amount of space

Weakness: can be a little slow to transfer

This thing is big as a dime, but thinner. It is a transflash 2gb card, goes in your phones. I put it in my chocolate and loaded up music on it. Works very well, and lets me listen to music on the go instead of carrying an additional mp3 player. A must have for cell phones!

SanDisk 2GB microSD Card

Strengths: Lots of Storage, small size.

Make sure you have a compatible card reader for this micro SD card. The card reader in my HP ZD7000 did not read the card correctly, luckily I had an external USB multiple card reader which could read it. I use this card in my mobile phone (LG VX8300).

Review: 2GB microSD Memory Card

Strengths: I use my 2GB micro SD in my LG vx8300 cell. I also use it to transfer info just via standard SD. Both purposes work great. The size of the micro SD portion amazes everyone who I show (smaller than my thumb nail), and it holds 2GB!

Weakness: The writing speed a bit slow but reasonable

Formatting the card works great. Speeds are Okay (Download is quick but upload is a bit slow (with USB 2.0 -- any device will be solely limited by the device, not the speed of the card).
The greatest thing is you can transport information in a very small system (the micro SD) or do it in a very wide-spread standard (standard SD).
I have had no problems whatsoever with this card, and I'd recommend it to anyone who can use SD or micro SD!

Great Sandisk 2GB microSD

Strengths: Speed, capacity (at the time of this writing), price with rebate

Weakness: 5yr warranty, care needed in handling (minor)

I've been using this product for the last week and so far, it's been an excellent card. Transfer speeds are speedy (haven't clocked it yet, but faster than my Kingston 60x 1gb SD card), which is a surprise considering the small size. It's very small so if you swap cards a lot, it could be a pain to drop or lose. The case is very handy for preventing this. Kingston offers lifetime warranties, and I'd like to see Sandisk going this way to be competitive. Otherwise, great deal on a great card.

Lots of space on a tiny card.

After rebates, this card will run me $15, which is currently A STEAL!

I wouldn't pay more for this card over other cards though, there is nothing special about it over another card of the same size.

It does its job. I haven't run into any slowdowns on any DS games in my R4 adapter yet (which is what it is used for). Some cards do this, many don't.

My card was made in Taiwan, where the best cards generally come out of Japan. Fortunately, I haven't run into any issues yet.

Four stars because it does what it is supposed to do, but does not surpass any expectations.

A Great microSD Product

Strengths: It holds hundreds of songs and pictures, fits right into my LG VX8500 phone and I haven't had any problems with it.

This is a great microSD card. It comes with a five years warranty with the backing of the number one flash memory card company. Don’t even waste your time and money on a no-name Chinese fake.

Works on GARMIN GPSMAP 60CSx

Strengths: Huge capacity, fast

Installed painlessly in my GARMIN GPSMAP 60CSx, providing an instant 1936.9 MB of map capacity. This tiny sliver of a card holds all maps for City Navigator North America NT v8 in its entirety, PLUS 24k topo maps for the west, PLUS US topo maps for the east and west coast, PLUS City Select 7 maps for much of Europe! There are close to 2000 map objects, but starting up the GPSR is just as fast as ever!

Great Memory Storage

Strengths: Good amount of memory, convenience

Weakness: Price

The 2 Gb of memory this micro sd card provides is perfect for
my motorola KRzr phone. Adding music, pictures, etc to my phone has never been easier. The transfer rates are extremely quick for a card this size. This does come with an SD adapter which is essential for getting files to and from the computer. The only negative about this product is its price. I think it has gone down tremendously when I initially bought it for $75. All in all a great product

Another Sandisk Innovation! 2gb microSD Card

Strengths: physical size, storage size, product compatibility, reliable data transfer.

Weakness: None so far, except almost lost it because it was so tiny

Sandisk have done it again, although the memory storage have break the size barrier, there is still limited on speed. If you intend to use it on a smartphone or pda phone, prepare to be disappointed due to unavailability of Ultra II or Extreme version on 2gb or 4gb. I use this for my Motorola Razr V3xx. and it has done a superb job. Great form factor, but increase in storage size would be great!

Strengths: Large compasty to store photo, music, ringtone, etc. on my motorola Krzr.

I have using this SanDisk 2GB microSD Card for week now. It is great! the compasity to hold music and to play back music, photo, and my ringtones is great. I use my phone now to listen to music wether i am at the gym to traveling on a plane. it help me from carreying one less device around. Hope they come out with a foug GB!! More music to store!! You can not beat the price!!

Excellent 2GB MicroSD card from SanDisk

Strengths: compact size, high speed, compatibility with Samsung Blackjack, comes with adapter for use in more common SD slot

Weakness: fragile (not good for frequent handling, better for installing semi-permanently in a phone or MP3 player)

MicroSD is a great format for adding memory to the latest ultra-portable devices. Its great to be able to add 2GB to my Samsung Blackjack via this tiny little SanDisk card. Now I can fit many hours of music, numerous photos, video, etc. all on this little card. And its nice to know that when 4GB and 8GB versions come out over the next few months and years, I'll be able to upgrade my device instead of replacing it.

Performance is good. I've not noticed unreasonably long read/write times when taking pictures. Transfer to/from the PC can take a few minutes to move hundreds of MB.

Everything is pretty much perfect about this little card except perhaps its durability. MircoSD is definitely not the right type of card for frequent swapping between devices, tossing in a pocket or purse without a case, etc. These things are amazingly small and fragile. Handle with care.

I tend to always buy SanDisk because they are one of the largest memory card makers so I expect them to have fewer compatibility problems. I've never had any.

Great storage capacity

Strengths: Another great product from SanDisk. Great storage capacity for hand-held devices. I have mainly used it for a Nintendo DS Lite. The SD adapter, that comes with the MicroSD, works as intended.

Weakness: Haven't seen any.

Overall, this is a great product to have for PDAs, cellphones, or other hand-held devices. I have been using the MicroSD for about 3 weeks now, and I have not seen any problems. With the prices coming down, this is a great buy.

Works on my blackberry Pearl 8100

Strengths: Works as expected. Includes the SD card adapter.

Weakness: None to date.

This card comes with a little plastic case that snaps shut to protect it and the SD adapter. It's just what I needed for my blackberry pearl. If you are using a 2 GB micro-SD card in a pearl, you may have to update the OS of your phone to a recent version. The early versions only support up to 1 GB. Check out the blackberry website.

Great industry standard, 33x speed, high...

Strengths: High Compatibility with almost all of the current available cell phones. Small in size, but flash memory size is rather high.

Weakness: Standard Speed, the speed is only at 33x right now. Hopefully a faster card will be available soon.

I use this card with the T-Flash MicroSD to SD adapter in my HP, and I use it as stand alone in my LG, in my Motorola phone, and they have been showing zero problems so far. I do wish this card is slightly faster, as transferring larger data is not very efficient. But other than that, This product is VERY good!!

Made my smartphone a genius

Strengths: Huge storage space, incredibly small physical size

Weakness: Not as fast as SanDisk's Ultra II series

I bought this for my WM5 smartphone (HTC 8525), and it works reliably. Even though it's not one of SanDisk's speedier Ultra II models, it seems totally fast enough for smartphone use. I can't tell any difference in speed between this and my phone's built in flash memory.

Good Things Come in Small Packages

Strengths: Snall, convenient, Loads Ton of Things and is easily picked up from the computer

The Folks at sandisk truly made a show stopper when they invented this little guy. Like his father the micro sd 1 gb he takes after storage portablility, and durability. I use it with my sandisk e250 player and it stores like a charm. Strengths: tons of storage

The SanDisk 2.0GB micro SD card provides ample space for all the songs and photos that I care to carry with me. Since I will be using my phone, it saves me from carrying another electronic device. e.g. ipod, mp3 player. 2 GB is the way to go.

SanDisk 2GB microSD Card

Strengths: Small yet durable; Good speed; Comes with SD adapter

Weakness: When inserted the microSD can pop out normally. It is basically stucked. I used a treaser to remove it. The recommendation is to insert only 3/4 of a way in the microSD socket.

I purchased this SanDisk 2GB microSD card to serve as a great memory card to hold notes, ebooks, backups, and many more to read on planes, trains, and buses.

It is a great little card with amazing storage capacity. I can store useful applications on it without sacrificing too much precious internal memory space.

Although the speed is not as great as the Ultra II series, it is still very good for the price.

2GB SanDisk microSD

Weakness: average performance

This 2GB microSD card replaces a 1GB card from PNY. Installation was a snap. This card worked perfectly with a USB-to-microSD reader I have and all my microSD devices. The card also includes an adapter for use in standard SD slots. The SanDisk adapter appeared to have better build quality than the adapters I have from Kingston and PNY. But they all function identically and I had no problems using the card with any of my SD devices and SD readers. Overall, my experience has been very good. Only weakness I can list is the average speed performance. This is a purely subjective evaluation not based on quantitative benchmarks. I expected the SanDisk card to outperform my PNY card but the results were only comparable. Neither card matches the performance of a Kingston 1GB microSD card that I have. Nonetheless, this SanDisk card performs more than sufficiently well for everything I need.

Functional microSD at reasaonable price, comes with...

I bought this to use with my Samsung SGH-A707. As many people have pointed out, it works well with cell phones. I use Sandisk mobilemate 5-in-1 card reader to transfer songs from my PC. Both on PC and cell phone it shows a 1.89gb capacity. Transfer rate is good, and I have experienced no read/write problems so far.
It came with a plastic box with a holder for the microSD and a SD adapter.
I do not know about other models, but for my Samsung cell phone, it is necessary to stick it into the cell phone for it to be formatted before you attempt to put anything on it for the cell phone to read.
It is hard to remove the card from my cell phone, but this is more of a problem of the SD slot design than the card, because it's easy to access it on my card reader.

It is smaller than I expected, and I am quite worried about dropping and losing it. Maybe Sandisk can make the labels on the microSD shiny/fluorescent instead of white to prevent users from losing it.

Good product

Strengths: Installed easily, lot of space, 5 year waranty, Can also use as SD card in digital cameras with TrnashFlash adapter.

Installed with out glitch in my t-mobile dash. Showing available space as 1.89 GB. Copying files is quick. Sandisk makes great flash products. With the Transflash adpater you can also use this with digital cameras.

SandDisk 2GB microSD Memory Card

Strengths: Compatible with both my camera's SD slot and my Cell Phone (LG Fusic) microSD slot. Works well.

Weakness: It's so small I am afraid I might lose the card. It doesnt come with a lifetime warranty.

The product works as I expected it to. No suprises. SanDisk is a well known provider of Flash Memory which made the decision easy to make. The price is right after rebate...

I used to have 64MB micro SD card for my smart phone before I got this huge 2GB one. It is a tiny card smaller than my nail, but the performance was impressive. No more worries about capacity for music an photos. The enclosed regular-size SD card adapter is very handy.

No format required with BB pearl just install the card and you're ready to start storing pics, vids, ring tones and many more on this 2GB card. Some vendors offer the adapter some don't, make sure you read the description.

Good card for phones

We have a number of phones that take microSD cards. Kingston makes good, cheap microSD cards, but they just don't get along with our phones (Motorola, Samsung). This is about the third SanDisk we've bought that works fine with them.

Not the fastest card, but it's fast enough for its size.

SanDisk 2GB microSD card

Strengths: Now that the 4GB micro SDs are out, these 2GB ones are all the cheaper while not giving up any reliability.

Weakness: Okay, so you can have twice the mem on a 4GB card; I don't need it on the phone this one's getting put to use on.

SanDisk is a big name in memory, and this 2GB micro SD card is more than enough for extra memory in my wife's phone. If 2 GB doesn't do it, 4 prolly wouldn't either! Once they come out with an 8 GB card, I'm sure the 4 GB will drop in price, too. Why spend twice this in the store when PriceGrabber is right here!

I used this microSD card with a Nintendo DS R4 card to store games, and it works great. The only drawback is that it doesn't fit into the USB adaptor all that well.

Great memory card

Strengths: High storage capacity, comes with full size SD card adapter so that a special card reader is not needed.

I bought this for use in my cell phone for music and pictures. It works perfectly. The phone recognized the card and formatted it and the whole 2GB is available. With the included full size SD card adapter, I'm able to use my existing card reader to add and remove files easily from my computer to the card. I also tried it out in my Sansa e280 mp3 player and it worked great in there too. I would highly reccommend this card for anyone looking for a good memory card for their cell phone or mp3 player.

SanDisk MicroSD card 2.0 Gb

Strengths: tiny, 2.0 Gb, inexpensive, no problems

Weakness: None so far.

I was shocked how small it was when I recieved. But it works just as expected from SanDisk, problem free. No complaints what so ever so far, I'll rewrite this if something goes wrong.

Sandisk 2GB MicroSD

Strengths: Incredible capacity for such a small form factor.

Weakness: Difficult removal of the MicroSD from the included adapter.

I got this 2GB MicroSD card as an upgrade for my cell phone MP3 music player. I have 194 songs in this card ripped at 320kbps which is the highest quality setting I have on my ripper and occupies 1.7GB of memory including a couple of photos and some screensavers.

My only negative experience which should improve with more use is when the adapter is used; it could be difficult trying to get the MicroSD card out of the adapter.

I highly recommend this product.

2GB microSD Card

Strengths: Functioned properly and immediately without any problem. Manufacturer's packaging was sufficient to prevent transit damage.

Weakness: None.

This SanDisk is a large capacity 2GB and accommodates a lot of photos, music and/or data. It was placed in a Samsung SGH-707 (Sync) cell phone and operated perfectly at the time of installation and continues to function properly. I have added several CDs of music in the MP3 format to my cell phone and have not had any problems with playback quality.

I've added a few music cd's, videos and pictures and have not reached the memory limit. All of this crap is on my phone for whatever reason. Pretty handy and priced reasonably.

2GB MicroSD is supported in the newer LG CU500v...

Strengths: LARGE capacity in a tiny space. Was happy to discover the newer LG CU500 'v' model would take a 2GB card.

Weakness: None so far.

The LG CU500v seems to have some decent amount of internal memory already, but it sure is nice to know that even with 50 songs, two dozen pictures, and several videos on my phone at any given time I still have better than 1.5GB of usable memory space in the one data-capable device that is with me 24/7.
FYI: Do your homework. ALWAYS CHECK WITH YOUR DEVICE'S MANUFACTURER, not just your service provider or the memory card's manufacturer, before committing to a card whose size may not be supported. Both Cingular and SanDisk told me 1GB was the max. LG's website sealed the deal on this one, and no return hassles were necessary.

Fast enough

Strengths: Great price; 4MB/s write, 5MB/s read

Weakness: Easy to lose or misplace

I bought a card reader that could handle microSD directly, but it was DOA. So instead, I used the microSD-to-SD adapter included with this 2GB card. I then used a multiformat card reader installed into my computer.

I was able to write a 220MB file to this card in 55 sec, and--after removal and reinsertion, to flush any caching--read back the 220MB file in 44 sec.

Thus, this card can write at 4MB/sec, and read at 5MB/sec. That's plenty good enough for this card, which was very inexpensive after rebate.

Good (Little) Card

Strengths: Includes SD Adapter, Capacity per Price.

Weakness: Difficult to remove card.

This was my first microSD card which i bought for my cell phone (vx8300). It works well and was detected immediately by my phone. Others have reported issues, but this did not seem to be a problem with the latest (v3) verizon software.

This may be true of all micro SD cards, but it was difficult to remove from the adapter. A spring mechanism (like my phone has) would be better as the card is so tiny and fragile.

Speed seems fine when transfering media to and from my computer via the adapter. I don't have a lot to compare it to though.

Works in some other computers with both XP and Vista, however not mine. I am trying to load music onto the card and have not been able to do so while in the phone with a data cable. SanDisk seems to be a reliable product. Amazing such technology in such a small format.

SanDisk microSD 2gb memory card

Strengths: Small form factor, easy to transport, versatile with its adapter, holds large files and many of them, a well-known name in memory options, fits many of today's cutting edge electronic devices

Weakness: none really, except slightly difficult to handle due to its very small size

This is a perfect option for mobile phone memory that most of today's phones have an expansion slot for. It is great with a Verizon phone, as they restrict access to the phone's files, bluetooth, music, etc. They require you to buy their music kit, but this card allows one to work around this company flaw, which misleads its consumers. The device is perfect for travel and fits easily into usb thumb drives. I would highly recommend this to others. This extremely small card is the wave of the future, can be used for other applications like cameras, etc.

Good for what it does

Strengths: Adapter, speed of transfer

Weakness: Compared to other brands, lacking in features

It worked fine in both my Sansa e270 MP3 player and my Garmin i3 GPS. No complaints on what it does or comes with; I used the SD adapter to transfer the data. I'm comparing it to other products, though, which have more features--some come with USB connectivity, which is a great addition. It's at the same price, and although it's not a SanDisk brand, I would have opted for that had I done better research.

Excellent quality and dependability

Strengths: Very good data transfer rates.

Nice kit, and of solid quality. Most of my other flash devices are not quite fast enough to play music without quality problems. This one is fast enough to work flawlessly.

SanDisk 2gb MicroSD Review

Strengths: Very Fast Large Capacity Good Compatibility Unbelievably small!!!

Weakness: Easy to lose (? more of a strength because it's so small) None really!

This microsd card by SanDisk was even better than my last 1GB Kingston. It has a very nice 3 year warranty I believe over Kingston's 1. It comes with the full size SD camera so I can use it in my phone and canon SD camera! I love it!! It transfers pictures and music very fast. It was super easy to install and worked right out of the box without having to format it!

Strengths: Capacity, Brand

This card works well in my motorola phone. its the highest capacity card available and many phones older than 6 montsh may not be able to use a card of this capacity, so make sure of that before buying. card is average speed but video & programs run without a hitch from it.

2GB microSD Memory Card does the Job particularly at...

Strengths: Great buy, brand name, quality product.

Weakness: Backwards compatibility to old technology.

This microSD card is a great by at $30 for 2 GB and the size of the media is tiny.
Designers of some phones and other electronic products were short sighted and did not design their product to handle 2GB of memory. Unfortunately this means older stuff can't use it very well, like LG's CU500 that only recognizes 1GB of memory.

I use this to replace my 1gb card. So far everything is great. Transfer speed is about average. I like the capacity of the card and the price of microSD is starting to come down a lot now.

Strengths: memory size!

Weakness: not as fast as ultra

I bought this for my phone and it works great! The 2gb size is more than enough for music, pictures and video! The only complaint I would have is that it doesn't match up to SanDisk's Ultra lineup of flash cards in terms of speed. Other than that, I highly recommend it!

Item being used in my phone for mp3s, videos, photos etc and has been very reliable. Cant wait til the price of the higher capacity microsds cards go down. This will do for now.
