Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: Great picture quality, great price for the money(even at $275 2 years ago), accessories are plentiful and with in a reasonable price range and so easy to use! Canon has a superior product here. Weakness: until recent update from canon the manual setting almost always took pictures that were "soft" and out of focus, since recent update the pics are great! It will be the 3rd christmas I have had this camera and I am just now thinking of updating to this camera's big brother the powershot a70 because I have gotten so into photography with this excellent camera that I want all the options the a70 has, but this camera would be excellent for any beginner or a experienced 35mmer that wishes to get into digital. You will love this camera! 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: Great picture Quality, Great features, Easy to use, Great first digital camera. Weakness: Eats batteries-not a problem with Nimh batteries/recharger. The push-button doesn't allow for very quick picture taking (i.e action shots), but isn't bad if you focus it first. Needs bigger CF card. A great first digital camera (mine, as a matter of fact) that has many simple features and uses much a like real point and shoot. It has enough settings that you can play with that make it feel like you are doing some of the manual photography. This camera takes the clearest, most vibrant pictures I have ever seen and I am totally impressed. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: Durable case, excellent pictures, easy controls. Weakness: Like to see a hotshoe for attaching larger flash. I bought rechargeable batteries and an 128 MB card. I get around 450 pictures at the highest setting from the batteries before I have to recharge. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: Easy to use, dummy-proof, great picture quality. Weakness: ? The A20 gets a bad rap for using batteries, but we use the NiMH batteries (rechargeable) and are able to take about 90 high-res pictures between charges. We disable the display and use it like a normal camera. After the picture is taken, it shows you the picture in the display, so it's a piece of cake to tell if you like the picture or not. We recently went skiing, and took pictures everyday for five days without changing batteries. The software that comes with the A20 is fantastic and also very simple to use. It downloads each high-res picture from the camera in about 3-4 seconds. Highly recommend this product! 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: great picture quality and excellent software. Weakness: it's a point and shoot so don't expect lots of manual settings. A definite must for your first digital. So easy to use you will never go back to regular film again. Buy at least a 64meg Compact Flash card and run it at the highest resolution for best picture quality. NiHM batteries are a must so factor that into the cost when purchasing. I actually prefer Photo Lithium myself, they are not rechargable but they last very long and make a great back up set when I forget to recharge my others. I never took many pictures before this camera and now I take up to 100 a week. The software makes organizing and editing so simple and the panoramic sticher is flawless! I also print alot of 11x17 pictures off of laser printers and the resolution is perfect. After 3 months of searching, for the cost I couldn't find a better camera. Don't forget the USB Flash reader, it saves time and battery life! 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: Excellent Camera and the price is great! If you want a nice beginning camera, the Canon A20 is an excellent choice. Weakness: Like most reviews, I agree with the battery life. I went out and bought a charger and 8 batteries. This way, you will always have charged batteries and will save yourself a lot of cash and frustration This is one of the best cameras for the money. I have done a lot of research and the A20 wins hands down. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: Great quality, easy to use, nice features. Great documentation, good software, good button placement, and nice easy to use zoon buttons. Weakness: Battery life stinks on Alkaline. Get NiMH rechargeables. Great battery life on those. I have taken lots of shots with flash and connected it to my computer many times on just one charge. I love this camera. It is my first digital and it is all I hoped for. I love the button placement on this camera. I can hold the camera with one hand, and the only button on top is the shutter. With a 64 mb cf card, it holds tons of pictures. The zoom is great, and the menu system is intuitive and easy to navigate. You can also connect the camera to a TV for taking pictures and replay. If you buy this camera make sure you get: 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: absolutely fabulous shots... excellent battery life, if you use nimh rechargeables.. I am getting at least 200 shots per charge , on rechargeable energizer NiMh batteries. Excellent manual mode Weakness: none that i can think of. would be nice if it had a video mode, or came with a case. i am totally satisfied with this camera. if you are considering the canon A20, I would highly recommend it. I read numerous reviews of this camera on the net, and found all of them to be outstanding. I paid $325 for mine at circuit city. You will need to get rechargeable batteries, and a larger CF card, but other than that, you are ready to go. The camera also has a very solid, high quality feel to it, and has a great automatic lens cover 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: Easy to use, Weakness: For entry level camera, no weakness. The size is a little bit big and the weight also. Only a 8MB CF card comes with the camera Very easy to use. No.1 choice for entry level camera. Use 4 AA battery, if use NiMH rechargeable battery. You will save a lot $ buying batteries. Good bundled software. Need to buy a 32MB or up CF card to store pictures. The image quality is really good, highly recommend. Next camera, I will choose CANON POWERSHOT G2. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: Great photos! I was able to enlarge a snapshot and put it on my desktop with no distortion or blur. Also, there is no delay when you push the button to snap a photo if you choose manual focus. Weakness: You'll want to get the battery charger, this thing sucks batteries. Doesn't come with a case. All in all, this is a great camera. Automatic lense cover, lots of manual options, and panorama mode let's you stitch together panorama photos. Not quite compact enough to comfortably fit in your pocket, but the design feels good in your hand and is appealing to the eye. Also comes with a video cord, so you can hook it up to the TV and give slide shows. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: great pictures, easy to use, good software Weakness: Use RECHARGEABLE batteries! 8MB CF card, no video- but hey, it's a camera not a camcorder! My first REAL digital camera. Gives first timer's the cabability to point and shoot without any fuss but does allow for some photo manipulation for more advanced users. I read many reviews across the internet and found this camera to be one of the highest rated for the money. GREAT CAMERA! 100% of readers found this review helpful. Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: SIMPLE to use. Great picture resolution. Great value Weakness: Haven't found one yet. Fantastic camera for the money. Great photos. We've used it for three months, about 150 pictures, and are still on the original (non-rechargeable) batteries that came with the camera. First digital camera I have owned, but far less complicated than others that I had used prior to it. Perfect for anyone switching from 35mm. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: Excellent clarity and sharpness in pics, outstanding color saturation Weakness: Always asks me to charge batteries after brief use of newly charged ones. This has got to be one of the "best value" digital cameras at this time. Got my A20 for $298, $50 (incl s&h) for a 128Mb CF card and $39 for 8 NiMH rechargeable batteries and recharger (RS). Can anyone else's setup beat these prices? 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: Very comfortable feel feels like a regular camera not like a toy.Love the compact flash memory easy to expand memory.Very easy to understand manual user friendly design. Alway's loved canon quality. Weakness: Battery's could be better. Would have preferred rechargeable type battery's.Should bundle with larger memory card & carrying case like their point & shoot cameras. Overall this camera is a winner. Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: Essy to handle and use. Good quality images. My first foray into digital photography... and, thanks to this camera, it is a successful and enjoyable one! Weakness: The included 8mb card is completely inadequate. Rechargable batteries would be better - but I am nit-picking! The camera is really a fine product. Having toyed with the idea of getting a digital camera for about a year, I had plenty of time to research. Holding this one in my hands made the final decision. Compact, simple to use and image clarity that compares quite favorably with a good 35mm SLR camera. I have become a convert to digital imaging. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: Great quality pictures. 201 High Res 1600x1200 on 128MB card. Excellent adapter options. I bought a Kenko 8x32 monocular for it as well as a Hoya UV Filter and it looks amazing. Great TV Out. Weakness: It is still a point and shoot camera, no manual options. Battery life is short. With Energizer 1700mha NiMH I got about 40 pictures, 20 of those using the flash. Great beginners camera and excellent picture quality. I wish they would have put some sort of grip material where the A20 logo is, that would have made holding a lot more secure. With the Canon 52mm adapter, filter options are great, as well as monoculars. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: Great picture quality, very affordable, lots of features for the price, perfect size, good for beginners or experts, just the best overall general use digital camera I have ever used. Weakness: Sucks alkalines dry, about a 1/4 second hesitation between optical zoom and digital zoom. Very minor gripes though. An excellent camera at an excellent price. I bought the A20 to replace an old Fuji I had. I also have a Sony FD-91 and a DiMage7. I now prefer the A20 for most purposes (except high res shots) over the DiMage7. It will suck alkaline batteries dry in as few as 20-30 shots. Get some better NiMH batteries. I currently get about 100-200 shots using the GP 1800mAh AA batteries. A steal at any price I say! Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: Easy to use, 128 MB flash card stores 1700 photos, 2.1 mega pixels produce fantastic images, quick and easy connection t computer Weakness: Batteries...it sucks them dry...I was shocked. The A20 is $289 at certain online stores and is well worth the money. It is the best price/feature digital camera on the market today. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...Strengths: great features, excellent image quality and prints are as close to 35mm that I've seen Weakness: needs larger compact flash card, and should come with rechargeable batteries I purchased this camera after owning 2 other digital cameras, and I expected from Canon a well done camera, but this little beauty met and exceeded my expectations to my great surprise! It's features are easy to use, I just dropped in batteries, and started shooting! The picture images are very close to that of a 35mm camera, and it handles like one. I rarely use the LCD, mostly to review the images I've shot, and my batteries lasted nearly 100 shots!!(for a digital camera, thats fantastic!!!!) I would recommend this for anyone. I sure would'nt hesitate to purchase it again. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon PowerShot A20 2 Megapixel Compact Camera -...
Strengths: It kind of works at night time, in closed surroundings. Transfer to PC is fairly easy.
Weakness: There is overexposure in this camera. In day time pictures, in any setting you can place the camera in, the whole picture comes entirely WHITE.
The overexposure is a big problem. In fact it makes this camera entirely useless for me. I am not sure I would get Canon products again, since I have such a bad experience with this one.
