The Pentax OptioWPi digital camera is much more than I expected. An advertisement in AARP Magazine caught my eye because the camera is waterproof, is 6 megapixels, and has a 3X optical zoom--all features I had been looking for in a camera. I have been extremely pleased with the quality of pictures I am getting with this Pentax camera. Until I started using this camera, I was unaware of the many editing options available. I expecially like it that I can crop pictures while they are still on the camera after I have snapped them. I can change the lighting, color, and even change the megapixel quality of the photo after taking it. I recomment this camera to anyone looking for an easy-to-use camera that has lots of editing features and many scene modes.

best camera

Strengths: Easy to use WATERPROFF WATERPROFF

Weakness: NONE

I'am a fishing guide in alaska in the summers. I've gone though countless camera from water damage not no more. I've shown this camera to most of my clients. And at leaset 15 have gone out and bought one the very next day.I haven't heard of a single back review from any of them. This camera rocks!!!!

Well, I got this camera as a present, as I'd shown promise with poorer equipment. I can only say, I was stunned by this camera. Getting the contrast right can be a pain from time to time, but this camera is quite versatile. Both motion and still shots come out relatively clear, and the colors retain well when compared to the source.

One of my few gripes is the night mode. The quality of picture acquired in this mode is quite shocking compared to those seen in other modes. Quite pixellated.

Despite this slight flaw, I can honestly say I am still impressed by the camera immensely after four months. No breakdowns have occurred, and battery life is not bad, as long as you turn off the camera between use!

I owner the las model optio wp 5mp i buy the camera for a gift to my wife she used in miami and take beautiful pictures under watter great quality and the video is no great but not bad is in the middle i recommend this camera i you want take easy pictures under watter and video too

Weakness: Bad Service

Bought this camera, it worked once. Then no picture. Sent back to Pentax Service.. they are pathetic, service is shocking. Don't expect your camera back for at least a month!! that is what I was told. Bad, bad service.
