stylish- great beginner camera.

Strengths: lots of settings, long battery life, rechargeable battery, good image quality when on the right setting, amazing macro shots.

Weakness: the automatic image quality is grainy or fuzzy or both, with little clarity. the settings are hard to get right.

I've only had this camera for a few weeks, but it's a neat little thing. It has a long battery life so I can pretty much take it anywhere, and it's perfect for random snapshots. For some reason mine records sound for 30 seconds afterwards unless you hit 'menu'... but this doesn't happen if 'continual mode' is on. I, personally, didn't think the images were that great... I did better with my kodak...

Excellent camera

Strengths: Small size, big LCD screen, very fast response time, battery life, docking station, good quality movies, anti-shake.

Weakness: No optical zoom during movie mode. Movie mode sometimes loses focus. Docking station is needed to recharge.

This is an excellent camera, because: 1-(Obviously) small size. 2-Big LCD screen. 3-Very good battery life. 4-Docking station is included. You don't need to open the camera and take out the SD card every time you want to transfer pictures. 5-30 FPS movie mode. 6-Anti-shake feature. 7-Uses SD cards, unlike some other brands who try to push their own memory standard. And SD cards are pretty cheap...

camera review after 1 week of use

Strengths: compact, light-weight, long battery life (pictures), very strong casing

Weakness: lower battery life when filming, lag when taking pictures while filming

The camera performed exactly as I expected. I read a lot of reviews about the poor picture quality, but its not that bad; I would say the pictures are about average indoors and very good outdoors. The movie quality goes the same way. Although the camera allows you to take pictures while in movie mode, there is a time gap of a second or two in the movie when the camera flashes for the picture.

IMHO better than Sony DSC-N1 and DSC-T9

Strengths: thin, small, sharp lens, good colour balance, great choice of "programmes", very user friendly straight out of the box, good battery life, very strong flash for its size

Weakness: Noisy-ish at ISO200 onwards but which mini camera isn't?

Tested it against Sony DSC-T9 and Sony DSC-N1. Against DSC-N1 in hand held indoor shooting situations, the S600 had a much higher chance of capturing the photo right - less blurred photos. Biggest problem with N1 is its inability to adjust its exposure in low light. You can hardly see what you are shooting in the LCD. If you were to brighten up the screen using "+2 EV", the highlights end up...

Casio Exilim EX-S600 Digital Camera - Excellent...

Strengths: This camera is ultra-compact! Just a little bigger in size than a credit card! The images and battery life are outstanding, and with 1 gig SD card, you can take 265 6.0MP pics!

Weakness: Have found none as of yet; the only thing is you have to mount the camera to a cradle instead of a USB port to download the pics. Also, it is only 3.0X optimal zoom, but I have no compliants.

Overall, I give this camera a 5/5! For me, I wanted a camera that was small enough to carry in my pocket, and not weight alot to be aware that you are carrying it. Also, I wanted a battery that would last long and take excellent pictures. This camera has it all! I would recommend it to everyone!

Excellent Tiny Camera for the Price

Strengths: Size Image Quality Take Picture While Videotaping

Weakness: Flash takes 2-3 seconds to recharge Noise While autofocusing

If you are looking for an awesome camera that can be carried with you at all times, you wont be disappointed if you buy this camera. I hardly know its always on my belt and the images are fantastic.

Small but packs a lot of power!

Strengths: Super Compact, MPEG-4 Video, Nice Build Quality, Docking Station Included, Nice Selection Of Colors

Weakness: Weak Flash (Typical For Compact Camera), Slight Hesitation In Video Due To Frame Rate, Limited Manual Controls

I purchased this camera because my Nikon DSLR is a little too large to take with me everywhere I go. I wanted something that I could easily place in my pocket with the hope that I might get pictures I would otherwise miss. Well, this camera has not disappointed. It's small enough to carry and you don't realize that you have it with you. I decided to purchase a camera case which does add to the...

Exilim EX-S600 Digital Camera - Silver (6.18 Mp, 3x...

Strengths: It has a long battery life. I like the symply design.

Weakness: N/A

Very nice design, very compact, easy to bring anywhere. I think this camera has an excellent quality of the shot if you taking it with the daylight. It also has excellent battery life. The memory is SD and for SD card, almost these days has a very nice price for 1gb.

A greta camera for a teen!

Strengths: Small size; excellent screen; great options to change for different shots.

I enjoyed the camera and would highly recommend it for anyone. It appares to be better than other cameras that I've used. It's wide screen for viewing is much better than looking through a viewfinder window. The thinness of it also is very appealing.

i am only a novice regarding digital cameras. this little camera fits my needs as it is small and takes very good pics. i do miss a view finder as i am used to that.i would have liked a more comprehensive manual that would be handy. overall, am happy with my purchase.

Last year Casio released the 5.0mp EX-S500 card camera to rave reviews. The slim profile and ease of use made it one of the most portable and capable point and shoot cameras on the market. Scarcely six months after the release of the EX-S500 Casio announced its replacement, the EX-S600. As the name suggests, the EX-S600 is a refreshed version of its predecessor.
