excellent camera, good value
Strengths: 10x optical, continuous movie mode
Weakness: A little on the large side for a digital camera
I bought this camera last week and couldn't be happier with it. The quality of the pictures is excellent, they came out sharp, crisp detail. The 10x optical really gets you close to the object you are photographing. I really like the movie mode on this camera. Unlike some other digital cameras, this camera has a continous movie mode up to the size of the memory card. It can take over an hour of...

Best in its Price Range
Strengths: Love the branded zoom lens. Ease of use. 6.1 megapixel high for price range. The buttons, controls and design simply look good! Uses standard or rechargable AA batteries, never left without power.
Weakness: Maybe the size with the adapter and lens on, but expected in a 10x zoom. Viewfinder resolution poor.
After looking extensively, it was clear that this camera provided the most in terms of features and value in the $2-400 range. I was able to shop online exclusively and buy the camera, a 2 gb card, a uv filter/protector and bag - all for $300. It is a little chunkier than the compact type cameras , but feels much steadier and more like a real camera when taking shots. Love it, love it. The ease...

Nice Camera
Strengths: Quality workmanship. Ease of use. Well-placed and well thought-out controls. 10X optical lens. Excellent results. Bang for the buck.
Weakness: None so far.
For the price, this is a great product. It's form factor works well for us as it feels substantial without being too large. At this size, it's still convenient and feels like a smaller version of a "real" SLR. It's intuative layout and design makes it easy to use right out of the box. With 10X magnification on the optical lens alone, we have not felt the need to use up digital Meg's to zoom. And,...

Fabulous Camera
Strengths: Digital zoom, scene modes, quality of pictures, easy of use
Weakness: None so far
I purchased this camers as a package deal and was amazed at the quality of both the camera and the printer/dock. The cost was extremely reasonable for a camera w/ 6.1 MP. Most were over $400 and this one was only $450 with the printer. The scene modes are great and once you use a camera with a zoom of 10X or more, you will not want another one with anything less. The easy of printing out photos...

Great performance!
Strengths: 10X optical zoom, continuous movie recording w/ sound, good low light performance, manual settings option
Weakness: no battery charger, cannot use the zoom feature while recording videos
So far, I'm very impressed with this camera! Most of our pictures came out quite well. The fact I love the most is that this camera can get you really clear pictures in low daylight! Some of the night pictures came out blurry or unclear, but I think it's b/c of low battery, shutter speed or no flash. Even though, the camera still trys to reduce red-eye problems when you don't turn on red-eye...
