Great camera

Strengths: Small size, 8MP, bright screen, excellent battery life, quick response time, sleek design, durable (I accidentally drop it on a concrete floor, it still works great only with few scratches)

Weakness: high noise at ISO 400 & above, video isn't great (but it is a compact camera what do you expect, so I'm fine with that).

Overall I love this camera, had it for 2 years, took it to a lot of places. Before I got the Casio z850 I had the Sony DSC-T7 which is horrible, extreme flash that blast the whole picture, blurred images all the time. Anyway you get my point. I did a lot of research before I bought this camera, it have everything you possibly want for a point and shoot and more. Macro and manual focus works...

Great little camera

Strengths: quick shutter speed, nice video, long life on battery

Weakness: Don't like having to use the docking station

This is my first Casio camera and so far I'm liking it a lot (I've had 2 Fuji finepix cameras in the past). Love the small size, quick fire up speed, great resolution. I've taken movies and am amazed at the sound quality. Lots of fun to do those. Macro is nice. Surprising how much use that gets. The ID picture feature, which I never thought I would use, has been used a number of times for work...

Casio Exilim EX-Z850

Strengths: Small size-sturdily built (except for battery cover)-battery life-bright LCD screen.

Weakness: wimpy plastic battery cover.

I don't consider less than perfect video to be a fault in such a small camera. If you want great video, get a proper video camera. This tiny camera does most things very well. I remember when cameras weighed 5lb, some of them still do!

Excellent camera

Strengths: easy menu, Battery life, small size of camera, design, quick shot, steady shot at digital zoom, regular USB cable to connect camera to crandle, excellent charge speed of flash

Weakness: Awfull video, no carrying case, pictures are very much digital feel , nikon 7900 has better quality of colors...

Overal it is 5 out of 5 camera in 8 mbpx class for pictures and 2 of 5 for movies, I tried Nikon 7900, different casio's(exz600-terrible in each and every aspect,exS600 -decent, exz750 -the best, I would say even better then exz850).
I am very much satisfied with this camera for just everyday use of shoting infinit shots or macro shots.Great camera.

Casio Exilim EX-Z850 Review

Strengths: Compact size, excellent battery life, easy to use, bright LCD screen

Weakness: Movie quality disappointing

This is my first digital camera. I was looking for something small, easy to use, but yet powerful, with good battery life, picture quality and movie quality. After some research, I found out about the Casio EX-Z750, which seemed to have everything I wanted. Its picture and video quality was excellent, and it looked as a very nice compact camera. However, I decided to get the EX-Z850 as I assumed...
