Olympus 810 ROCKS!!!!

Strengths: Small, very sleek and best of all picture quality

Weakness: Haven't found one yet, maybe availabilty? the store I went to was sold out

Just picked up this camera, have owned many digital cameras previously from SLRs to ultra compact to a many many point and shoots. Hands down the best compact digital camera I have ever used let alone owned. Don't waste your money on something you think may be a slightly better deal (I was tempted by the seemingly "bigger" names, and actually returned the so called competitors comprable model for this one) You will not be disappointed I you pay those few extra dollars.

Great little camera!

Strengths: 8.0 megapixels, lots of shooting modes, very lightweight

Weakness: Some pictures take a long time to save to H card, annoying that you have to select the shooting mode everytime you turn the camera on in scene mode... should default to last mode...

I sold my Olympus C-8080 prosumer camera to buy this one... the C-8080 was great, but it took more patience that God granted me. :) I couldn't be happier with that decision. I sold my Olympus C-8080 prosumer camera to buy this one... the C-8080 was great, but it took more patience that God granted me. :) I couldn't be happier with that decision. First, the small size and comfortable feel make me want to take this with me everywhere I go, which is a great turn of events since the bulky C-8080. I want to take the 810 out and shoot all the time. The shooting modes are vast and great! My favorite is the Available Light mode... I don't like shooting with a flash, so this has come in really handy in low-light situations. I do have to process the photos a little more than normal in Photoshop, but it's no trouble and has delivered some of the best pictures I've taken in a long time. The panoramic feature's great, and it works very well. I also like the anti-shake feature that assists you while you take the picture or even after you've made the capture... it's very cool. All in all, I would SO recommend this to anyone and everyone I know. :) I have taken more pictures in the last month and a half with my 810 than I did in the last year with my C-8080... and that's progress to me.

I have been used Sony mavica, V1, Canon SD 400, 500....
and.. I bought Mju 810 last week.

Even though picture is taken with key...to show how small it is... It is bigger than canon SD500.

It is good digital camera if you know light, shutter speed.

If you want to get ... like menual camera, it is not perfact but.. much better than any other digital camera on market.

IMPORTANT !

If you want to take Super High Qulity Movie, than should buy H type. Bestbuy sells only M type. With M type, you can take only 15 seconds. even though lots of space left at memory card.

I bought H type at ebay.. again..

what a waste money.

anyway.. with flash , it's awesome. you may have trouble with other camera... glossy face... dark background...
810 takes just like you see with your eyes.

If you usually take picture in door, or night, it is best camera. iso upto 3200

Weakness: LEARNING SETTINGS

I am an OLYMPUS loyalist but the 5.1 I owned was not good enough.
This model is sleek , and a performer.Good for people like me who do not like complicated gadgets.
