Sony SPK-WA Housing For DSC-W55
Strengths: All camera buttons are accessible on case. Light weight, not bulky.
Weakness: Flimsy o-ring, button icons difficult to see.
Bought the case for a W55 camera. All camera buttons are accessible on the housing and easy to use. Setup and maintenance is straight forward and only takes a few minutes. The o-ring is a bit flimsy but then again the case is only for snorkeling up to 10 feet. I'm used to the housing I use for scuba diving which is built for greater depth and is much sturdier. Great product but sorry I bought it!
Strengths: Works great
Weakness: No support from Sony for parts
In the instruction manual it recommends changing the waterproof gasket at least once a season and gives the part number to order. I've tried all over the internet and it doesn't seem to exist. The Sony website for ordering parts won't get back to me after two weeks of trying to order extra gaskets. Won't buy from Sony again!
