Excellent Camera
Strengths: 6 MP, 2.4" screen, Good price
Weakness: No cover for data port, no date/time
I just purchased this camera and I like it. It is small in size, big screen to view, 6 MP and a having a good price... It still uses AA batteries, which is easily available anywhere and not very costly as compare to other batteries. Negative sides - AV and data transfer ports are not covered, so there is possibility of dust and sand can go inside if you are using it on beach... There is no...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500
Strengths: The camera is easy to use and produces excellent pictures. Is a great little camera for the price.
Weakness: It would have been nice if a case and extra memory stick were included.
The Sony cyber-shot is a cute little camera that produces good quality pics. The memory sticks are alittle expensive but well worth the extra purchase. I like the 2.4" LCD monitor screen. What I like most is that its easy to use and would recommend purchasing it if your looking for a camera that's a good quality but economically priced.

Sony DSC-S500
Strengths: Light weight, compact and easy to use
Weakness: None
I would highly recommend this camera. It's light weight, compact and easy to use. I am not a high tech person, but found it easy to operate. The camera takes very good pictures and unless you want to enlarge your photos, the mega pixel will be more than sufficient. This is my 2nd Sony camera and there isn't anything negative about Sony that would make me switch to another brand. I compared this...

Good camera
Strengths: Big LCD viewfinder, 6 megapixels
Weakness: Uses AA batteries, uses memory stick
Good point-and-shoot camera. Pics come out decent. Doesn't have a lot of features, but it does have a big LCD viewfinder and 6 megapixels. However, it uses AA batteries instead of rechargeable batteries, which could be a plus or minus depending on your point of view. AA batteries are readily available, but do not last as long as rechargeable batteries. It also uses memory sticks, which are more...

Good starter camera
Strengths: Price, $119 at Circuit City (Nov '06). Came with CC promo(1GB memory card).
Weakness: No view finder. Hard to see display if sun is behind you.
A great first camera for my 12 yr old daughter. Not too small where it could easily get misplaced or fall out of her coat/pocketbook and is easy to travel with.
