I LOVE it !!!
Strengths: Amazing pictures, beautiful video quality, titanium casing.. you name it , I LOVE it !
Weakness: None !
I was having a very hard time when choosing a camera and looked for over a month before I finally made my decision. I finally came down to trying to decide between the Canon SD800IS and the SD900 ... I liked the fact that the SD800IS had Image-Stabilization and .8 more zoom, but I liked the titanium casing, 10MP, longer zoom (the SD800IS has more zoom, but not as long, it is more wide-angle) and...

Great camera and near perfect pictures
Strengths: Great photos, great handling, ease of use
Weakness: Heavier than expected for such a small camera, but still great
Well, I just got this camera and have only taken about 200 pics so far but am very impressed. I won't go over all the stuff that's already been talked about but I will say that it's a huge improvement. The 10 megapixels may at first seem like overkill but when you see the results you'll understand the potential of this tiny camera. It's great actually being able to take really nice photos with a...

Prerty Good, but some drawbacks
Strengths: Nice photos, easy to use, 230K pixels on 2.5" LCD (finally!)
Weakness: Down to 3X optical zoom (the SD700 has 4X, SD800 3.8X), no image stabilizer, no battery meter
After using my SD700 for almost 8 months with OPTICAL image stabilizer, I don't like any camera without them, not even those who offer just "digital" stabilizer, like Casio, and others. Why Canon did it, is beyond me. They released the SD800 and SD900 at the same time, the 800 got the stabilizer but not the top-of-line SD900. They also decreased the optical zoom range from 4X on the SD700 to 3X....

SD900
Strengths: Ease of use, Great menu system, Picture quality, Build quality - Ti finish, Speed, Face detection, Underwater mode
Weakness: Lack of image stabilization, Noisy zoom
A great camera which replaces my very old FUJI and Canon compacts which is both easy to use and small enough and strong enough to keep in a pocket. Picture quality is good though not as good as I would expect from 10mp but I don't have many 7-8mp to compare against. Camera already has underwater case available as well as an underwater mode -- which is extremely useful! Face detection works very...

Awesome
Strengths: Very Durable, Lightweight, Small, Good Features, Many Features, Mega pixels, Screen size
Weakness: No Image-Stabilization
This camera is probably the best I have ever had, it is small enough to fit in your pocket, but large enough to be able to have a great sized screen. The only thing that the camera lacks is Image-Stabilization. With certain modes, the camera can become very sensitive to the smallest shake, causing a slight blur, and reducing the clarity of the image, but the large sized pictures makeup for it,...
