Decent Camera for the money

Strengths: Sony brand, lots of camera for the money

Weakness: No memory card included

This camera is great compared to the one I purchased 3 years ago for about $100 more. It takes decent pictures and is a Sony so you have brand-name reliability. The down side is having to buy a memory card if you want to take more than a few pictures at a time with the internal memory.

Excellent. Great Point n' Shoot

Strengths: Very small and compact to take anywhere and the battery life is good.Good picture quality, plenty of features, Carl Zeiss lens

Weakness: Sometimes hard to hold steady for those of us lacking fine motor skills!no image stabilization

The brushed aluminum cover is a nice feature for a sub $200 camera. Takes great photos.The movie mode is very user-friendly and the movie quality is pretty high. The negative thing about it is there is no image stabilizer. Also it is Sometimes hard to hold such a small camera steady at all times.Also pics taken at full zoom tend to be a little blurry and have a blueish. Great all around camera...

This camera is small, and built solid.The on screen menu,and scene shot selection is very helpful.The lens is automatically completely retracted,and protected when the camera is turned off.It is very easy to use in the total auto mode,and takes excellent pictures,yet in other modes many manuel adjustment options are available.The memory can be expanded greatly with the Sony memory stick duo,but in my opinion, for most people, if you buy a extra 1gb stick duo you will have the ability to take hundreds,and hundreds of pictures before you have to download,and erase.The battery lasts a long time,before it needs to be recharged.The best feature I found so far is during the review option,when you zoom in for a closer look at the picture,if you like the zoomed picture,which you can also adjust side to side and up,and down,with this camera you can actually save the adjusted picture,and still retain the original,this is great feature to remove unwanted objects from your picture.The last feature I will mention is the fact it has a viewfinder,which many camera's its size no longer have,this is very useful in bright sunlight,when the screen is difficult to see.This camera can also auto focus in poor light conditions,because it has a low light focus illuminator.

Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 digital camera, 7.2 megapixels

Strengths: The quality of the pictures is excellent with 7.2 megapixels, the size is very compact and the 2.5 inch screen is excellent. Also the camera can be used without the memory stick.

Weakness: The memory stick is very small as compared to the memory card I had previously used in my kodak camera but not unmanageable.

For an inexperienced digital camera picture taker like me this camera is very easy to operate and takes great pictures. I love the big 2.5 inch screen and small compact size of the camera.
