An Excellent Camera!!
Strengths: Easy to use, Various Scene Modes, Great zoom with Stabilizer, uses AA Batteries, nice & bright 2.5" LCD.
Weakness: Little bit bulky!
A very easy to use camera--takes great pictures. The camera fits nicely in the hands---neither too big, not too tiny. It has a lot of settings---however to make things easy, the preset scene modes work great. The stabilizer really works well at the long zoom shots---no more blurry pics!! Best thing is that it uses AA Batteries--so no more running out of battery & waiting to recharge while on a...

Panasonic DMC-LZ7S
Strengths: 6X Optical Zoom with Image Stabilization, 2.5" LCD, AA batteries, uses SD/SDHC memory cards, 16:9 (widescreen)848 x 480 Quicktime format Movie Mode, Extremely easy to use.
Weakness: Grainy pictures in Low Light conditions or High ISO, Inability to zoom while in Movie Mode.
A very good point & shoot camera for the price which takes decent pictures outdoors or in brightly lit conditions. Grains start becoming visible ISO 100 upwards---which is common amongst point & shoot cameras in this price range. A little bit bulky compared to other cameras---however, the Optical Image Stabilizer more than makes up for it (& it works brilliantly well). Overall, very satisfied for...

BIG ZOOM CAMERA.. SMALL PRICE..
Strengths: Easy to use. Big 6X Zoom with Digital Stablizer
Weakness: A bit large compared to others with similar features. Flash could be larger and stronger.
This camera takes great pictures and is easy to use. It has more features than the average user needs. It is a fast camera,(turning on/off/shutter)nice 6x zoom, with an Optical Image Stabilzer that works great. It also has a sharp and very accurate Macro mode! It is great for outdoors ,The 2.5" LCD display easy to see even in bright sunlight. It has great battery life with the included AA Oxyride....

Excellent Camera for the Price
Strengths: Sharp, Detailed Pictures and great compensation for lighting and motion
This is a fantastic little camera for the price and I highly recommend it for its ease of use and quality of pictures. It takes extremely detailed and true to life color shots even in bad lighting and it compensates for motion. It also has movie mode but I have not used it yet but have read that it is excellent.

Very Happy
Strengths: Zoom, Image Stability, size, functions
Weakness: OK, it won't take a 4GB card, but isn't 1200 shots enough for one outing? The 4GB card DOES work, but only at half capacity.
I returned my Canon 570is after going thru batteries faster than M&M's. The LZ7 is beating the pants off the Canon with only several hours use! Got mine from Seto (a true gentleman, and knowlegeable too!) on 17N in Paramus (avoid Rte 4 store- 17N is a higher class operation, IMHO).
